During the Weekly Update, Bungie used a community picture they found to use in it. The picture I'm talking about is the one with Master Rahool holding a (fake) Legendary Engram surrounded by others.
The creator of this image posted the image on a Reddit forum, and their username is heeroyun.
Massive Edit: My prior information turns out to be indeed incorrect. I apologize for heating or stirring emotions in my fellow community members, as well as doubting Bungie in some parts. Big thanks to DeeJ for not only taking the time to reply, but or clarifying information. Any previous comments I have made regarding the legitimacy of the image thus far are now null in void.

That illustration was done by Lorraine McLees, who has been a Bungie artist for longer than some our players have been on this Earth. We don't steal from our community. We elevate their voice and celebrate their achievements, as we did throughout the update.

I can't wait to see the raid matchmaking art work, gonna be epic!

They did that on my "Create an Exotic!" thread too.
The creator of this image posted the image on a Reddit forum, and their username is heeroyun. So, I think everyone or whoever makes the updates over at Bungie had better use the little edit button to give heeroyun the credit they deserve. And maybe source things when you use them from now on. Don't steal from your community.
A few questions for you: 1. Do you really believe that Bungie used this image without permission? Truly? 2. Did you stop and think for a moment, that perhaps heeroyun is an employee, or a consultant for Bungie/Activision? 3. Maybe, just maybe, heeroyun requested not to be cited? 4. There is a bit more diplomatic way to go about this, wouldn't you agree? Take a deep breath, consider the alternatives, and kindly ensure that you have your facts straight before you begin your next crusade to protect the little people, okay? Happy Holidays. :-)

Bungie are shameless in the way they manipulate the community to do there dirty work ive been Beta testing Destiny for 3 months and i had to pay them.

You're absolutely right. Re-publishing artwork that doesn't belong to them without permission or citation is improper at best. I'm surprised any company would do that

10/10 call out. Also thanks for taking the time to know who to thanks for the image, it reflects well on your character that you're willing to give credit when it's due.
