It's not that great of a classic weapon. When you see your assault rifle in Halo, it's a consistent ally in killing enemies. When you found a Lancer in Mass Effect, it was a traditional weapon. In ME3, it was reminiscent and more powerful, a rare homage to the original game. Here, it's a gun you used for 10 minutes before an engram dropped a superior replacement.
