You actualy explained it well. But so basically you need to be rank 3 or 4 to buy hings you can get at rank 2. And to buy weapons now, urgh... It's grinding upon grinding. Deej and dev plz make some special Vanguard/Crucible bounties that reward a commendation and you can only do 2 a week (2 vanguard and 2 crucible that is)

No, if you are able to be on at reset (best part about living in Australia as reset is at 7pm) then you can do the double bounty trick and level yourself up twice as fast.
