The Templar is Praedyth, and the "carved light" is on the grimiore card for the Aegis, aka the shield of Zeus, made from the head of a Gorgon. Kabr's "carved light in the vault is the Aegis, destiny's lore states that he makes the shield to be your salvation within the vault, from a gorgons head.
