So according to your logic, we should get a drop for confluxes and gorgon maze in vog too, right?

Gorgon Maze has 2 drops with the chests, as for the Confluxes people already skip it now. Go into a VOG thread and you only see people wanting Oracles or Atheon for the same reason that the OP listed for people skipping Deathsinger.

VoG has 4 checkpoints and 3 chests. VoG even has 1 secret chest, meaning that you can get 7-8 rewards. Crota End has only 3 checkpoints and (I think) 2 chests. There is probably 1 secret chest somewhere in the raid, meaning that, so far, you can get 5-6 rewards. When I started doing VoG, I always wondered why confluxes didn't had drop. But whatever, 7-8 rewards is pretty good. But for CE? It's just too short, there is no section like Gorogon Maze or Jumping Platforms that require the team to stop shooting stuff for a moment and proguess as a team, and people are even skipping one part of the raid? Hell no!

According to your logic, the gatekeepers shouldn't drop anything, right ?
-
Death singer = easy Gatekeeper = easy So yeah you're right, I wouldn't mind. It really wouldn't change anything. Most people still look for atheon checkpoints anyways
-
Exactly :) but no1 ever said "let's skip the gatekeepers and go straight to atheon" when running a full vog raid. In ce, op is right, no team i was in wanted to run it
-
Indeed, however I have been in groups that simply couldn't get through gatekeeper so they opted to search here for a atheon cp. I'm not disagreeing with op, just throwing the idea out there that the death singer section isn't really difficult enough to warrant a checkpoint. I think there should be a drop simply because of the time it takes to run through the tunnel of thrall, grab the 2nd chest, and get through the death singer but I guess I'm wrong? It seems they should've stuck with 4 checkpoints anyways, as with vog. It would've made a lot more sense and would keep more players in the raid. So definitively: for times sake, there should be a checkpoint; for difficulty, no. But I suppose that's up to each players opinion.

Well the chest in the gorgon kinda count as loot drops
-
I guess it can looked at that way. I do think there should have been more chests in Crota's end than what they gave us, however.
