The Khvostov exotic version
I would love to see a exotic version of the Khvstov white auto rifle (the first one you pick up). It's a great looking M4 like gun, and I really want to use it again. Maybe it can be called "An old friend" or something.
The weapon model is there, why not upgrade it? I really like your guys' ideas about upgrading it like you do with the Necrochasm. Maybe there should be a long upgrade quest that gets this thing to its max.

Any time you get three rapid kills it goes "OH BABY A TRIPLE!" And it does it abnormally loud so everyone around you can hear it too. Also the firing and reloading sound should be a dubstep beatbox performed by Jason jones himself.

I really like the DoT aspect of thorn and wish more guns had something like it. Maybe something similar could be added this gun as an upgrade

Every time I use that weapon I think how cool the cracked glass on the ads is. It's like they had this idea that the lower tier weapons would be all raggedy and beat up, but the better the gear, the more crisp and new it looked. Obviously, it wasn't the case. Although it would have been a nice touch.

8 RepliesKvostov turns into the Kvostov Mark II (uncommon) after killing 1,000 vex, cabal, fallen, AND hive. (Majors count as 5, ultras as 10), then buying the "birth of destruction" from xur for 27 coins, and turning it into the weapon seller. Mark II turns into the mark III (rare) after getting 2,000 crucible kills (each kill is 1) with this gun, and buying the "ritual of disaster" from xur the next week for 27 strange coins. Mark III turns into the "Ol' Reliable"(legendary) after killing 500 praetorians, 500 Kells guard, 500 phalanxes, 500 wizards, and then buying the "augmented darkness" from xur during the next week for 27 strange coins. Ol' Reliable can then be upgraded through getting the exotic bounty called "Through Hell and Back" -kill each strike boss 25 times with this gun -collect 200 black wax, blue polyphage, supply codes, and ether seeds -turn in 50 heavy ammo synthesis -kill 500 players in crucible with white rarity guns(death will RESET progress) -get the "Soul of time" which is dropped from atheon. (Atheon will only drop this to a player who has the vex mythoclast equipped, drop rate is the same as the vex) -purchase the "cleansing of true darkness" from the speaker for 100 motes of light. Congratz, you have obtained Dastardly deed (exotic), the only auto rifle with explosive rounds.

Liked it so much, I'm gonna take it a little farther: Custom Weapons. I want a signature look, not just shaders. The custom system would have you picking a weapon platform (ie auto rifle, handcannon, sigil, etc.), putting custom Pieces on it (ie: custom sights, protruding barrel, etc.), picking a damage and ammunition type, and putting a paint job on it (ideally like forza 5). Then you would go about picking 2 upgrades, while the rest would be RNG. The process would end with you naming your new weapon. This system would start as a missive from the vanguard, and each character would only get to make one custom weapon, in order to keep the loot important. Each piece of the weapon would have to be gathered by the player in a series of quests, and the final product would be assembled by the gunsmith. For real, he needs to do some gunsmithing, not just selling me ammo and bad guns.

Omfg.. i want that sound on Destiny ASAP... here's a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_OrXpogees P.S: It would be a BEAST in PvP ;) No Land Beyond my balls.... THIS is the best rifle ever. Or add the Kar98K that can 2-shot anyone in pvp, would be better than the No Land Beyond and reloads faster per bullet.
