Make the Deathsinger drop something. Even if it is only 2 shards or 2 energies.
Seriously Bungie, people don't want to do the Deathsinger on CE because it's pretty much useless. For people like me, that rely on the LFG sites, they know some groups just stop doing the raid when they reach the singers. For me personally, I've [b]NEVER[/b] done singers before. Hell, I don't even know what the hell is the team suppose to do there (kill the deathsinger I believe?). The 2 times I've done CE, we reached Deathsingers and everyone on the team was like: "Hey anyone have Crota checkpoint?" *silence* "Okay then, nice raiding with you guys, bye" *everyone leaves the fireteam*. I even went to LFG to post that I have singers checkpoint but no one wanted to join, I waited 30 minutes, not a single soul wanted to do this checkpoint...
So that's all I'm asking bungie, I don't care if she doesn't drop armor, but make she drop 2 radiant materials
Edit: Some people aren't understanding the point. I never said it was too hard so it deserves a reward, I even said that I never even killed the singer. It doesn't matter how easy it is, but for some of us that don't have friends that play games, we just go to LFG sites, and some of those random people that we find just [b]REFUSE[/b] to do deathsingers. So, it's pretty f*ucking easy and can be done in 5 minutes, right? Go talk to them, not to me.
Edit: NO GUYS, SHE WON'T DROP SHIT ON HARD MODE!! Can you get weapons from the maze or bridge? NO! Primary weapons will drop on crota [u][b]only[/b][/u]. It's on the app/site!! Only 3 drops on CE, and deathsinger isn't one of them!! It's not a glitch, is intentional, and if bungie ever says something like "Fixed a bug where players aren't receiving loot from Deathsinger", you can just call bullshit right away.

It's the exact same reason people skip confluxes on VoG. No reward, people don't want to spend the time.

It's not overly difficult, but it really is the hardest point in the raid. I'm definitely a bit miffed that you don't get a single thing from it. I'd take a pity handy j, just give me something.

First time I played CE we did the Deathsinger part, had a good team with 2 gjallarhorn's which allowed for a quick take down once we nailed the timing. So we had a few wipes before each team of three was working in sync, kill wazard's,, shrieker so on. For how time consuming it can be we were surprised there was no drops. Played my second CE run and soon as we got to the Deathsinger someone said they have Crota checkpoint & that was it, everyone was happy to skip to it. Think because it can be tricky & its time consuming with no loot people are happy to miss it out. If there was loot you know people would play it.

4 RepliesSaid before and I'll say again. You haven't found it doesn't mean it isn't out there. Ask yourself: why, if we have only 3 minutes to kill her, do we not get the next checkpoint for a full 5 minutes after she dies? And why do enemies continuously respawn and defend the outside for 4 minutes only to give up minute 4 and run inside? Search guardian. And mostly stop crying all the time.

It's comparable to confluxes in VOG. Both raids most difficult part does not have a loot drop. Only difference is that after confluxes, you get 2 chests and 4 loot drops. After deathsinger you get 1 loot drop and no chests (that we know of yet). So there's just less incentive. Though I will say that I believe Crota drops better items and at a better rate than normal atheon did. Normal Crota seems to drop items akin to hard mode atheon.

I honestly never had a chance to try either no idea what to do. Done every part except that no one wants to and honestly no point with all the crota checkpoints around

Personally didn't mind Deathsinger, it was just Crota that was a huge pain for me personally, maybe because I was playing with my friends who had no idea what to do (as well as myself), but I really thought the Deathsingers weren't that bad once you got the gist of how to get to them...

1 ReplyI agree this is weird. I wondered if it's designed to slow character progression to L32 a bit after so many people hit 30 so fast on the first raid. Especially as they tweaked the loot drops in CE a bit. Now a lot of people will have the gear before they have the materials I think, not the other way round like pre-DLC. I have one new raid piece and after two weeks of the raid still haven't levelled it fully. The best I can come up with is they will allow drops from this boss on the hard mode. But if you look at the app, both normal and hard only have three loot slots compared to VoG's four, so in not sure that's right either. I will do this bit when I first reach it, but if the team disbands after a few attempts, I'll then look for a Crota cp as like you there is never a group willing to start from deathsinger. I don't think completing it affects the drops (RNG being what it is), but I do wonder if there is a hidden mechanic or chest somewhere after deathsinger / before Crota that we are missing.

I like how the Update will say: "fixed issue where beating the Deathsinger stage did not drop any rewards." As if this was an unintentional bug hehe. I actually like it when they do that. It's funny.

Could be a possible drop in Hardmode for the new primaries, but I agree that the first time we went through with 6 30's, and several wipes later we were definitely disappointed that nothing dropped. Especially after getting drops for the maze.

anybody ever thought that maybe theres a chest that spawns after you beat deathsingers? and like some other chests it might be on a timer as well its only a matter of time b4 someone finds it
