Make the Deathsinger drop something. Even if it is only 2 shards or 2 energies.
Seriously Bungie, people don't want to do the Deathsinger on CE because it's pretty much useless. For people like me, that rely on the LFG sites, they know some groups just stop doing the raid when they reach the singers. For me personally, I've [b]NEVER[/b] done singers before. Hell, I don't even know what the hell is the team suppose to do there (kill the deathsinger I believe?). The 2 times I've done CE, we reached Deathsingers and everyone on the team was like: "Hey anyone have Crota checkpoint?" *silence* "Okay then, nice raiding with you guys, bye" *everyone leaves the fireteam*. I even went to LFG to post that I have singers checkpoint but no one wanted to join, I waited 30 minutes, not a single soul wanted to do this checkpoint...
So that's all I'm asking bungie, I don't care if she doesn't drop armor, but make she drop 2 radiant materials
Edit: Some people aren't understanding the point. I never said it was too hard so it deserves a reward, I even said that I never even killed the singer. It doesn't matter how easy it is, but for some of us that don't have friends that play games, we just go to LFG sites, and some of those random people that we find just [b]REFUSE[/b] to do deathsingers. So, it's pretty f*ucking easy and can be done in 5 minutes, right? Go talk to them, not to me.
Edit: NO GUYS, SHE WON'T DROP SHIT ON HARD MODE!! Can you get weapons from the maze or bridge? NO! Primary weapons will drop on crota [u][b]only[/b][/u]. It's on the app/site!! Only 3 drops on CE, and deathsinger isn't one of them!! It's not a glitch, is intentional, and if bungie ever says something like "Fixed a bug where players aren't receiving loot from Deathsinger", you can just call bullshit right away.

If I can get a Crota checkpoint, I will skip it every time, no point to do one of the more frustrating parts that takes team work and coordination...I don't understand how they made it without any drops, my friends and I assumed it was a mistake or glitch and they would fix it...but I guess not

In the group I play with, someone comes up with a crota checkpoint, we beat crota 3 times then do the rest of the raid up to death singer 3 times. We are more than capable of doing it, but there's just no point.

Sounds like the ppl you raid with are weak asf.....probably the ones who also think life is a bunch of butterflies and flowers and think things should be handed to them...

Maybe there is a chest that spawns if you beat it a certain way. Maybe up there where the gatekeeper spawns. Idk. But if not, that part of the raid is pointless.

Agreed. A drop is needed, of any sort. Two radiant shards/energy is all that is needed. And is needed, since how insanely and ridiculously scarce those resources are.

bump. For those saying confluxes have never given gear... true, but the VOG has 4 reward points and CE only has 3.

I'm going to say that it does matter how hard it is. It's the second-hardest part of CE by FAR (behind the big guy himself), and it definitely should be a loot drop checkpoint — even if it's just radiant materials.

I agree. Loot needs to drop. Vog has 4 why they made crota only have 3 makes no sense to me. For those of us that don't make the same character over and over would like some shards/energies/gear. That way when we finally fully upgrade our raid gear, house of wolves drops and we have to start all over again. ;)

Bump, this raid is already short on rewards and with the second chest being a timed deal that is missed by alot of groups it would help if the Singer dropped something after the tough fight you go through.

I ran into same situation. I wanted to do to actually complete the raid. But no one wants to do it, nor I now really. It's so easy to find someone with a Crota check point why waste time on no rewards. But yeah even if it was just shards/energy it would be worth it. The new shards/energy are more difficult to come by.

I have yet to do it, and I completely understand your point. I don't want to either. The raid still takes time since not everybody has had a ton of experience and why waste it on a checkpoint with no rewards. If I got something from it I would be much more inclined to run it.

I agree. Not to sound like an entitled asshole, but come on. At least materials should drop. Every group I have been in just skips past it. Do you really want people just skipping 1/4 the raid because you are not rewarding them? I don't understand how this got through QA testing and no one said anything about it.

Wow. I've never experienced everyone leaving the raid because of it. It's not THAT hard and doesn't take that long either

That's entirely the reason. The death singer doesn't drop anything & is probably the hardest part of the raid. To me that doesn't make any sense. What makes sense is that it's bungie who made this so it's expected. But I would do the death singer checkpoint if anybody needed help.

2 RepliesI honestly think it's a bug. When you kill the Deathspeaker none of the other mobs in the room despawn like the end of a normal boss encounter. Normally this would make you believe it's not really a boss but the Deathspeaker has a [b]lot[/b] of lore devoted to it, including a gun named after her(him?). If it's not a bug and intended then there's a few logical (but still shitty) reasons it doesn't drop loot: 1) The first encounter originally didn't drop loot but Bungie didn't want to create another "oracles checkpoint" debacle, so they moved the loot from the third encounter to the first. 2) At the last minute Bungie took the loot table off to purposely slow progression I really hope it's a bug because those two other reasons are just dick moves.
