The armour has higher light and defense levels and the weapons have higher damage output.

But last time, the armor and ligh levels available were only attainable from iron banner and vault. You can get 31 from anyone now. And as for the guns, they arent better. They have the same attack as any gun that came after dark below does, so your defense is null and invalid.

You really are -blam!-ing stupid. You get nothing special from this iron banner. Last time you special stuff. This time, you get bullshit. Last time the stuff was better than anything you can get, and was equal to raid gear. Now its less.

I am getting it purely from a collector's standpoint. I just want all the gear. I just wish there were PvE ways to gain rep. I am really not a fan of the Crucible.

The IB gear is basically the same as the Faction gear, but it [i]looks[/i] WAY better than any of the Faction stuff... Too bad you can't shard them for mats when they become obsolete. No matter what the Light Level they are ALWAYS good for regular Crucible where the LvL/DMG/Armor buffs are NERFED. I will continue to play IB... You earn Glimmer, Crucible Rep, Crucible Marks, & Crucible Commendations at the same time... it's ALWAYS nice to double-dip during the event. My vault isn't too overloaded where I can keep a set around... just wish I could get an IB helmet & a chest.
