Wanna play as a hunter ? heed the following: 1) hunters were created with maximum dps in mind, try to keep you're enemies at a distance and take them out before they can even hit you 2) the best defense is a good offense. 3) learn to judge how much damage you can put out before dying. This learning process wil take lots of dying. 4) know your enemies! know how they act and how they attack. For example, the fastest way to take out a cabal phalanx is with a shotgun, stand close to them and wait for them to attack you, when they come in to strike, there will be a small window for you to shoot them right in the face and end them in one hit. 5) no pain no gain 6) Hunters are agile, use it to your advantage, triple jump is a very solid choice 7) invisibility is very useful in harder parts of the game were there is no time pressure, such as in nightfall strikes 8) while using blade dancer, don't be shy, while you are squishy, you can wipe out vast groups of enemies very quickly, showstopper is a very useful perk when you're in the thick of it. 9) don't use blade dancer on bosses! trust me on this one, just don't. 10) learn to use handcannons, when you can chain head shots with a hand cannon, there is no weapon that can come close in dps. 11) shields - ennemies will have shields (coloured bubbles) around them. use the correct element type on your weapons to take out these shields as fast as possible. Red shields mean fire damage, blue shields arc damage and purple shields void damage. 12) before you attempt the VOG, get to level 27, and watch at least 1hours worth of guides. 13) before you attempt CE, get to level 30-31 and watch at least 1 hours worth of guides 14) get a mic

If you want to use Bladedancer at high levels, I suggest using it in the role of combat medic. Max out all those invisibility perks and put them on. Teammate goes down and fire is too heavy? Go invisible, get in there, revive, then get the hell out.

  • In re: #4 - if he's walking with the shield and not crouched behind it; there's enough distance between you, shoot him in the foot/leg and he'll drop his shield... free head shots. With the appropriate scout rifle, 3 shots total.

  • Once he drops behind the shield, hit the hand that is firing the weapon…same. Only sucks when they don't flinch.
