I'm interested, what's the best horror game in your opinion? Sorry if your favourite didn't make the cut, they only allow you to put 7 options, but here are some honourable mentions:
Alan Wake
Bioshock
Alien: Isolation
Minecraft: 7 days mod

Call of duty

Parasite Eve was pretty horrific. I can also see why Resident Evil was omitted, it's an action series these days.

Edited by TheMasterDB8er: 1/15/2015 2:51:20 PMHa! Only 8 percent really know a true horror game. Amnesia shits on all of these other pansy games. Dead space and silent hill aren't even scary. I find it therapeutic to blast necromorphs to oblivion, not scary.

Edited by fraggumz: 1/15/2015 2:24:06 PMParts of dead space made me angry but that was a really unique and realistic space game...
-
Lol at 5 Nights at Freddie's
-
Out of the list, Dead Space. But my overall is I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream
-
Bioshock is pretty scary on your first playthrough. Also Ravenholm in Half-Life 2. Flood levels in Halo. Yeah, that's it. I don't play a lot of horror games...
-
Define "best" scariest, or most fun?
-
Alan Wake actually had a quite decent story, I enjoyed the game alot.

Edited by StudyOfWumbo: 12/20/2014 9:49:33 PMIm conflicted, I've never played dead space, the evil within or silent hill....but I like all the other games listed...outlast or amnesia scares me the most.
-
If we are going by the actual amount of fear the game provokes I would have to say outlast by far On the other hand the most enjoyable(best) game in the horror genre for me would have to be the resident evil series
-
Where da -blam- is resident evil ??
-
Resident Evil 1-4
-
-
I have to go with Silent Hill on this one... specifically, Silent Hill 2.
-
Resident evil didn't even make honorable mention? Let alone poll choice?? I question your taste.
-
Out of this list I have to go with Silent Hill, though I do have to mention The Suffering. That game just didn't let up.
-
Alan Wake was an interesting game, I think it had a good gameplay concept, awesome story, can't bring myself to say I loved the game but I played it all the way through and there was definitely something there. And it scared the hell out of me a lot. Can't beat Dead Space though. Honorable mentions: Don't Starve and Dark Souls, neither of which are actually horror games but the tension is so high because everything in the game just wants to f**k and kill you.
-
D**** It's just horrible.
-
Alien: Isolation
-
None of these blam-ing alien isolation its horrifing
-
Five nights at Freddy's is not scary.
-
Im gonna bump cause this is good.
-
Should've put an other option. REmake is my favorite horror game.
