I had to stop reading after the Crota killed someone with his own Ghost.
... It was clearly the Guardian's ghost, not Crota's. Not saying your theory isn't viable, but you'll definitely want to lead your argument with something that isn't so blatantly wrong.

I dunno, the concept of Destiny requires you to suspend disbelief so I have no issues accepting the OP's comments. Not saying that I agree/disagree but I have also heard someone else say that the Hive may consist of ex humans. I also look at Eris Morn, and she seems to have some of the Darkness fused with her 'light' or what remained of it. So this theory is entirely possible. Saying someone's point is blatantly wrong when it's lore referring to a videogame is ridiculous. The writer's can make up whatever they want, therefore NightDrawn may be correct. We'll see when all is revealed...

Edited by Trando: 12/22/2014 5:33:41 AMWei Ning is a female Guardian I believe, the Grimoire quote talks about his ghost. Unless that is a major oversight on Bungie's part, I think it's a valid point.

I have to agree with him. The layout of the sentence implies that the "he" they are referring to would be the last noun, which was Guardian, not Crota.
It was clearly the Guardian's ghost
Everyone listen to DoctorZeuss77, since CLEARLY the the Ghost is the Guardian's. You have to understand that this is a theory. It is not necessarily true, and will have flaws. My only reason of bringing this topic up was because I thought it would spark an interesting discussion on the Hive. Nothing here is fact. If anything it's all opinion. So telling me that starting my theory out with a point that is "blatantly wrong" is biased because it's up to the person's belief whether that point is true to them or not.

Not attacking your theory it's a fun one. I think he's probably right about that Grimoire card but I had a issue with another one you mentioned in which you say a captured guardian was being changed by the hive, I've read it before and I believe it's the last record of the dead ghost we find in the hive shrine during the first mission on the moon. And that's actually about it being drained of its light and speaking with a hive wizard. Don't remember it perfectly but it came across that way when you read the entire card, most everyone should have it from that mission.
