A simple solution would be to add a loot drop at the deathsinger. A whole lot fewer people would skip it if there was a reason to do it.

I agree that it would be a good idea, but that would only solve people bailing during Ir Yut, not solve the issue of people having access to late raid drops without ever having completed the early raid checkpoints.
