As someone who has IB and P&T I would say absolutely get it, it's great for soloing night falls with arc burn on and for taking a look around corners, the radar staying active is so very useful in night falls too. But apart from that it does decent dps due to its low recoil, high rate of fire, and decent sized mag. I came within a gnats nadger of soloing the omnigul nighfall last week ( only a stupid mistake with omnigul nearly down mucked me up, and I couldn't face restarting again) and that was down to P&T. Heck I have a maxed old version and am going to buy the new version
