this is a must for raid gear, what is the point in grinding a raid for the gear, only to have it replaced by vanguard crap when the next DLC drops, Im wondering if there is any point doing the hard raid (unless you enjoy it), when all the loot becomes irrelevant

Hit the nail on the head. Gear is simply a means to an end. If you play a progressive raiding game to collect items youll be disappointed when they become obsolete. You should be playing the raid for fun not solely for loot. if you don't like the raid you shouldn't play
