Let's be honest, the concept and idea of this weapon is extremely pleasing. As a Guardian owning this weapon since day 1 of The Dark Below, I desperately want to use it. Although you might as well trade it out for a slingshot. Extremely low rate of fire and low ammo for it being a primary weapon. The iron sights are a bit clunky and the damage output isn't even worth it if you were to never miss a precision shot.
Please if you agree with this and wish to see a bright future for No Land Beyond, bump this and make it noticeable to Bungie/DeeJ that this is a concern for the community, and that we would like to use this weapon one day!

BUFF NO LAND BEYOND
EDIT 1: Lots of positive feed back over this topic! Thank you all who have been supportive. No Land Beyond will surely gain a buff of some sort in the future. But how far into the future can be decided by our power through these forums. Continue the support and a Land Beyond will soon be found!
EDIT 2: Several Guardians out there who agree that it needs some kind of buff.
Main points argued:
Scope Flare - why the F*** is it there.
Ammo- pew pew... Welp... That's all I got.
Bolt Action Speed- I could do it faster!
More Damage- slingshots hit harder!
Some people like it the way it is, but many of them think that way because they believe it's just a cosmetic weapon. I don't agree with this because the game isn't made around "cosmetic" weapons.
1000+ posts, keep it up you bolt action junkies!
EDIT 3: No Land Beyond was short lived and only used by a few Crucible legends to its full extent. Many Guardians, myself included, jumped to the idea of a Iron sighted bolt action sniper. The concept behind this is unique and gave a different charm in comparison to other weapons through destiny. Because of this I'd love to see "a weapon of this type" brought back to life in Destiny. No Land Beyond obviously was directed for PVP. Now Bungie, give us the PVE version of this idea. That way it can be utilized by the other side of this community!
If you think a weapon such as this could be useful in a PVE situation, favorite this post and comment below the details of how you would make this weapon. Name, cosmetics, stats, abilities, the whole 9 yards.

Bump. When the NLB first came out i was dedicated to its use in crucible for a whole eh, 2 or 3 weeks, give or take? I totally appreciate the idea of the gun (used to play rifle only cod2/mohaa back in the day) but it definitely needs some tweaking to give more of an edge against other players. It has the perks Mulligan and The Master. You can't rely on mulligan and (the master; increases precision damage and kills BRIEFLY increase damage on next target) Ehm, okay I would expect a bullet from any sniper to one shot kill someone in the head, iron sights or not, and bonus damage to next target? Lol if you don't land a headshot on someone regardless if they see you or not, that bullets taking you down below shield; which then they take cover, then you have an option to push them or wait it out; And realistically neither is a good idea with this as a primary, and what a waste of an exotic slot weapon Lol seriously. Ive held on to this weapon and enjoy to kick the dust off of it HOPING Bungie is going to revamp it, maybe make a year 2 variation that's slightly more kick ass? Please :( or at least tone it down to a legendary (where it deserves at this point) so I can have room for a exotic secondary or heavy?

I was just about to bash on this post untill i saw it was from january

Nothing more satisfying than wrecking a try hard with NLB!
-
Everyone check the date..
-
The oblivious date bump
-
Let's go it recieves the buff
-
I just want the iron sights to be iron sights and not an invisible scope.
-
Edited by DSharp018: 9/8/2015 11:03:23 AMGive it arp rounds. I never understood why a high impact sniper can obliterate one dreg's head but not even tickle the dreg behind it. That's not how bullets work!
-
I think the only thing wrong with it is the scope flare. It never made any sense there's no scope
-
It needs almost the same impact as Efrideets and regenerating ammo but not like ice breaker the way more slow one like invective and maybe keep ironsights but some head shots count as body shots sometimes :D
-
it is being buffed in 2.0 read the weapon patch notes dude

Edited by Lukey Mufz: 9/7/2015 9:10:53 AMJust had a good ol crack using it in a few games. Precision shots feel almost impossible to get. I found you almost had to be dead still for it to feel accurate. This summed up my experience: Miss the head and your dead. Edit: I have to say getting a precision kill with NLB is one of most satisfying feelings in the game.

It's already fantastic just practise with it! I love it it's great at mid range and even close range at times! U have to adapt your play style to the gun but more than anything it's great fun
-
Yea I think it needs to be buffed, and have regenerating ammo. It's ammo surplus sucks.
-
It only needs more ammo. It's one of the few weapons that takes skill so I say keep it as it is and just add larger ammo reserves.

If my guardian can't shoot the NLB any faster, how the hell did L.H. Oswald shoot 3 shots at Kennedy in 6 seconds? He didn't.
