Official statement regarding the issue by Urk on reddit... "We know about this and we're working on it. It may seem like a trivial fix with a simple solution from the outside looking in, but the reality is that this particular bug could create some very serious issues if it's not handled correctly. It's particularily pernicious and systemic from what I told, so the team wants to take time with it so as not to do more harm than good with a premature or untested solution. We know this is a frustrating bug and we know waiting for a fix isn't super fun. But it's going to be a while yet before we can address it with confidence. The team will keep you posted as/if/when they make progress."

  • Yeah but AETHEON was a trivial glitch... They sure fixed that quick... Jokers only fix what's good for them. How can you get penalized in a raid for wearing raid boots? Most ignorant thing I have ever seen a gaming company do.

  • Unless they have multiple checks on your heavy ammo during the spawning process, the easiest fix would be to spawn with additional heavy ammo, the only way to abuse this is by downing and reviving in order to get more heavy ammo. This would only be possible in lower level activities, because the extra death in either raid or the nightfall will require a teammate to wait to revive you which would (imo) outweigh the cost of the extra rocket. In crucible? I could see this beong exploited in any gametype that allows team revives, just like you can use voidfang to have constant grenade energy.
