yawn - this shit again - you get it as a reward for completing a game - thats it - K/D has nothing to do with it - why do you think it does?

The problem is that there is no incentive to even try because RNG decides all. That is broken loot mechanics at it's finest.

Edited by miggyriggz: 12/18/2014 12:19:24 PMYou should not require an incentive to play a game IMO - I play for fun, teabagging people online, and smashing raid bosses - the loot i get is extra - and I certainly would not waste my time complaining about what others got

The incentive isn't to play the game but to complete the objective and get rewarded. If I can get the same reward without attempting to complete the objective why should I bother ? I'll just hop in a game and have everything granted to me because my actions have no impact on my rewards. The loot system for PvP should be tweaked so that those who do well get something out of it faster than those who weren't as good. Can't have a player to strives to be the best and expects to get rewarded for it get nothing while the dude who purposely gave the opposing teams kills gets rewarded. It's discouraging.
The incentive isn't to play the game but to complete the objective and get rewarded
I disagree with the "and get rewarded" part I also don't think the best players should get the best loot - in your way of thinking what incentive would the bad players have to even play if they never get any decent rewards? to get better at the game so they can hopefully one day get a decent drop? not for me

Edited by Technesiss: 12/18/2014 1:00:26 PMI didn't say the best loot i said "rewarded". The better players will get a quicker chance of getting something but it doesn't automatically mean better. This would all be better if PvP had milestones that everyone could achieve and get rewarded from. The better players will get the faster but the worse players will still get there. 500 kills in Clash will earn you a random drop for a weapon 750 another 1000 and so on. This way they only way you are left out is if you don't play. Surely you may not be amazing in PvP but you know that the goal is still there and will not change. The same can be applied to PvE. Complete this many strike or daily heroics and so on.

Edited by Midnight: 12/18/2014 1:18:11 PMI think you're right, stand your ground man. And if you suck and don't get rewarded, then get good and come back. These participation trophies are complete crap

In most games (including real flesh and blood ones), participation prizes are not overwhelmingly *better* than first-place competition prizes. THAT is what op and a lot of people complain about and I think they're right. We all know how the system (wrongly) works.
