husk of the pit
I don't know, what I'm doing wrong but my level 31 can't get husk of the pit I've been at this since 8:30 am. Does it drop as low level like everything else?

There's really no best way to get it, it's a random drop from killing the blades of crota. Doesn't matter how or when you do it, like some of the people said, cosmodrome on the fist of crota mission. I got mines after 3-4 hours. I started at 7 am PST, and I died twice before I got it. Again, it doesn't matter how it's done, it'll be a random drop.

1 ReplyHi,I got husk when this technique first came out around 1 am eastern.ok so one word fist of Crota. Do them over I got mine second time. Kill the blade of Crota your best chances r on this mission. Kill him without dying. Rotate between 24 and 29 husk will drop as like anything else I was level 30 when I got this. So no lo level crap. Bungie will patch this so act now. Good luck.

I Did about 20 got frustrated thinking I was glitched so I quit the game and came back and on the first try I got it. Fist of crota I went on the 28 version

1 ReplyI got mine after killing about 25 of the Blade of Crota guys. You have to go to the mission Fist of Crota, then skip past all the guys until you get to the acolytes that do the ritual. Then kill the guy with the sword, if you didn't get it, then rinse and repeat. You don't need any wax idol or anything like that and do the mission on normal. Hope you get it!

6 Repliesi got it during patrol on the moon going for the eris bounty. Level 30, using murmur. Don't use autos. Seems like a lot of grinding. I'm gonna laugh when people upgrade it all the way and its the worse exotic in the game.

I think I had a wax idol active and I was working on getting precision throwing knife kills on Hive. It was an Eris bounty obviously and I think having a wax idol active was part of it, I'm not sure. I think one of the Blade of Crota Knights dropped a Husk of the Pit, it was completely random. I had seen the weapon in the DLC trailer, but had no clue it could be found this way. I'm sure the exact location doesn't matter. I'm sure it must be dropped by Hive. I'm not sure it can only be dropped by a Blade of Crota knight. If it does, well they only spawn on Earth and on the Moon, right? So I guess location does matter, narrowed down to those two.

No it's a random drop from hive sword bearers but it can take as long as hours to as little as a few minute
