Old Iron Banner Weapon Damage and Armor Re-roll / Upgrade Needed!!! (Edit: and VoG Gear)
I re-rolled a weapon (Timur's Lash) from the last Iron Banner in hopes of getting the new dps set. I learned that it only resets its abilities still but I feel like it should give it the boost.
Does anyone else feel like you should be able to upgrade / re-roll old Iron Banner weapons (and armor) for a new damage (or defense) output? I feel as if this should be taken into serious consideration.
Edit: If anyone also feels the VoG drops should be upgraded, add it in here. That is also now open for discussion in this topic and it is also true that dismantling Iron Banner gear doesn't give shards. It might have something to do with the Queen's Emissary update a long time ago.

7 RepliesI feel like you shouldn't have to re roll for the boost up. We ground like mad to get things like Gheleons Demise and it cost a lot of Motes to reroll them to things we like then just a few weeks later another Iron Banner comes with upped weapons at least but all our effort previously was basically for nothing. You can't shard the weapons out either even though it took a lot to get the 11k necessary to buy them and then with the re rolls and things. It's not like the Queens Wrath where they just had tons of armour dropping to shard for doing nothing. Iron Banner takes effort to get these things.

I would love an option to reroll my iron banner or VoG weapons. I love those things. I wish I could keep them. Jolders hammer, vision of confluence, prediths revenge, I love them all.

1 ReplyDid the same thing man. I guess I was delusional thinking the attack power was going to be updated. I took the risk and I got screwed. Now I will probably dismantle my Jolders Hammer that I loved. :-(. I got a new Arc legendary machine gun thru a drop. So really no reason to keel Jolders now

3 Repliesi definitely don't think they should do rerolls on Vault gear. It is a level 30 raid (on hard mode) so the gear should reflect that. Iron banner though, I would love an updated Hammer. With some luck on the reforge you can have (in my opinion) the best legendary heavy in the game. The other part of me says they're doing it right. This game is supposed to evolve and your gear should reflect that. Just updated a weapon you got from the very start over and over again takes away from that.

I would much prefer they make the Vault of Glass a higher level strike with level 31-32 gear than Bungie do stuff with the iron banner weapons. I'm kind of over the Iron Banner right now. Worked my ass off last time to buy everything, and now like 4 weeks later its back! and with the same bumping stuff as last time! It's not even 32 gear this time, so you are pretty much just grinding for a week just for the looks of gear you probably already bought.

Did it with my Geleon Demise. Yeahhhhhhh Although I got my FAVORITE sight on a scout rifle and I got luck in the chamber, field scout and firefly so yeah...not to bad
