This game is far from perfect. Few games are. But like others, I have spent an ungodly amount of time in it. I like a challenge and to some extent, I like a grind, because it makes me feel like I earned something. Destiny is however you want to slice it, an MMO. Maybe not your traditional one, but lets not make up new categories just because it's not traditional. As a WoW, CoH, Aion, Rift, and Guild Wars I am not new to the MMO scene. So lets break down the actual value of a game. Every 3 months you pay 30$ for a DLC. That is NOT BAD. That is actually great value. In other MMO's you pay 15$ A MONTH. Granted the other MMO's have a lot more end game content. That is my gripe with destiny. I would prefer they added in Heroic only strikes that gave you gear to be able to even go IN the raid. Not purchase from a vender. But it's not the worst system I've seen. I disagree with the light system. I want my lvl to correspond with the amount of time I've spent in game, not my gear. Simply because there are different types of gear that drop from raids. I don't give a shit about strength, but if all I've gotten were strength boots I'm kinda -blam!-ed. Bunjie if you are listening, I know there is a lot of hate directed to you guys, please try to think not what players want, but what would make this game the best MMO shooter on the market. I know you'll do awesome. P.S. I LOVED HALO REACH, ANYONE WHO DIDNT CAN SUCK A DICK.

This article nailed my feelings exactly. In a way i'm kind of glad that Destiny has gotten so much worse lately because I was probably spending too much time playing it. If I ever play again it will be after the final dlc. I can just buy the armor for the final dlc from the vendors and skip to the highest level. Players time needs to be respected. Grinding to hit a cap that i can skip later by waiting is a waste of our time.

I totally agree with this article from polygon. All that was written needs to change DeeJ!! Or you lose too many of your players. Its that simple. Thanks Bungie for hearing us out! Change it for the better of the Destiny community.

Ive put a ton of hours in this game and the author has some great points. 1. VoG gear should not be outclassed by vendor gear. That is senseless because the VoG was the most dificult content before CE. Now it is way easier to hit 30 due to 33 light vendor gear. 2. Weapons A few issues. VexM is weaker than current vendor legendaries. Being a weapon that was so sought after and rare to drop on Atheon it's now outclassed by any vendor weapon. Stupid design. Why should we have put the hard work in only to be able to buy it a few weeks later with some marks.... 2. The upgrade path is senseless. Removing energy from exotic weapons is fine, makes it easier whatever. But making us rely on Xur to hopefully maybe possibly have our weapon we want to upgrade is also stupid. For instance, i main Hawkmoon, but as it stands the devil you dont has higher attack. When will Xur sell my gun? That shouldnt be my worry. It should justve been another node added onto the end of any maxed exotic to have it reach 331 (should be stronger imo). Or something i have control over so i can relevel my weapons in the order i want insteaf of RnG Xur. Its very frustrating to see this design implemented due to the amount of gear i had maxed, and no i dont want anything handed to me, just guve me a non rng way to upgrade my gear i already put thr work in for once.... 3. Crota's End 1. Why doesnt the Witch phase drop loot? 2. The shards i understand. Switching currencies doesn't allow players to blow through content whatever fine. But how about giving us more ways to get it? 21 shards to fully upgrade one piece out of a full set. 84 shards together for the full. Just maxing your gear with one character will take forever and a half considering you may get energy when you want shards and vice versa, 2:1 switch isnt optimal imo as well but thank you for that option. Just make double the amount of shards or energy drop and add it to public events/daily missions/nightfalls instead of dumb coins. Also some of the raid weapons...well suck. Swordbreaker for instance is useless. No useful unique perks. Seems lazy imo. The fusion rifle as well, nothing unique, easily outclassed by a vendor one with good perks. No land beyong has the worst perks ever on a gun like seriously guys mulligan? Think think think. Even the original guns had to be changed, i.e Hawkmoon had send it and hammer forged. For what? Im glad it was fixed but exotic things need to feel exotic. And raid weapons need to feel like the next best thing after exotics. Fate bringer is an amazing raid weapon. Light of the abyss isnt. Why? Because of perks Bungie....black hammer is the best thing youve done so far with raid weapons, but what happened to the rest?

Just my 2 cents. The raid is decent, I enjoy the strike quite a bit, the missions included were fine. The funnest thing about the DLC for me was the quest given by Eris. In my opinion this is what the game needs alot more of. It had 3 steps that were fun and could be completed in a few different ways, and ended in an enjoyable fight in a repourposed area and alot of people complained but it had a decent reward. It should be easy to add this type of quest into the game, I think bungie should have dropped like 20-30 of these into the game. I think it is stupid about the raid specific materials Then again I think it is stupid that the raid is the only way to get to 32. I think vendors, drops, quests, strikes, raids, iron banner all of it should have level 32 armor. Maybe the stats on the raid armor are better Like more Intellect or discipline or maybe better perks, but the light level should not be. It is REALLY stupid that the DLC invalidated the VoG. The VoG gear should now drop upgraded gear on par with Crotas End. Also one last thing that bugs me some legendary gear doesnt dismantle into shards like iron banner gear. Ok I get that, but it seems like it would have been an easy check to say that if the user took the time to level the gear up and spent shards on it. Lets go ahead and give him shards back. Or better yet lets let him upgrade the gear ( Maybe he has to get back to rank 3 then he can turn it in for an upgrade at a lower cost than buying a replacement)

This article hit the nail on the head. I like the new raid and having new things to do. But I don't really want to wait until I'm 60 years old to finally reach 32 because I can't get the materials I need. Deej should definitely do something about this

Whats disappointing is that it just has so much potential to easily keep a large fan base for 10 years. But screwing over all the players that grinded before the expansion was a stupid move. I just cba playing it now because i think whats the point, Imight as well just wait till house of wolves is out to play that for a bit seeing as I can just be the same level as everyone that grinded on crotas end when its released. But then ill just think the same when that comes out, leading to me just not wanting to play the game. I find more motivation to come on the forums at the moment.
