It's an interesting read, though I don't understand how you can live by that idea when there are so many contradictions.

I think the story you're refferring to is in Numbers ch.15. God killed that man in order to emphasize that no work be done at all on the sabbath. The 6 day work week represents the amoint we labour for salvation in Christ. But if we work on our day of rest, it's like putting human effort into something only God has the power to do. The Jews in the old testiment lived under impossible regulations. The ten commandments were not only put in place to tell us what we should not do, but also to remind us that its absolutely impossible for a human to be perfect all the days of his life.
