Upgrading old Legendary gear to new level caps?
Is there a way or will there ever be a way to upgrade old legendary armor/weapons to the new level caps?

Such bullshit. All pre-dlc gear should be bumped up to current light and damage level, and the horrible Xur upgrade system completely scrapped. This update is a steaming pile of shit with a side of FU to players. All the new tower gear is a joke too. Every single piece is lesser, both in stats and perks, to the base game vendor gear. What the fk bungie.

Thanks for the responses guys. Kinda sucks that at least the VoG raid gear won't be upgradable. Only point in doing that raid now is for the energy/shards and a slight chance at getting an exotic piece.

Existing purples will not be upgraded. New DLC- only and non-DLC purples have been introduced to fill the gap.
