Balancing the Arc Blade Super Fairly

I propose the following. Arcblade duration will no longer be reduced by lunging, using abilities, or getting kills. Arcblade will now have 3 Charges. Charges are consumed after a Kill, or after every use of Showstopper of Razor's Edge. If multiple kills results from a Showstopper or Razor's Edge, more Charges are not consumed. No more than 1 will ever be consumed by Showstopper or Razor's Edge even if the player gets multiple kills with those abilities. Showstopper range increases slightly. Razor's Edge no longer tracks the ground until it hits a surface, and may be aimed in any direction. Vanish does not consume a charge, but may only be cast once per use of Arcblade. Upon all charges become consumed, Arcblade is dismissed. Sound good? Prolly not... Not too much of a nerf, but you can no longer kill an entire team... twice... unless of coarse you are just that good! Which is how it should be. Blade dancer can quickly kill multiple targets consistently over a large area... Like on a smaller map, they can kill most everyone before the duration runs out. That said, the only way to counter an arc blade is with heavy ammo, lucky shots with a shotgun, because they are dancing all over the place to hit, or at range... But they still have that extra damage resistance. So... A super is left, but sunsingers and defenders still have no answer... My system here limits the kills similar to that of the Gunslinger and BUFFS mobility because it no longer drains duration. That way, the dancer can still... Dance... But the are no longer the grim -blam!-ing reaper.[/quote] Editted for clarity.

  • I read one line and completely disagree, nothing wrong with any super in the game. I managed a squad wipe with one nova bomb you wona nerf that too? All the people looking to constantly nerf weapons and supers are looking in the wrong areas as to why crucible isn't as balanced as it could be. Open you mind and actually analysis the game and provide proper feedback. These post will just have bungie running around in circles and not be helping them bring the game forward
