It's a small gripe but if all Exotic weapons have fixed bonuses power ups etc. Shouldn't exotic armor be the same?
Looking at Xur today I see that the armamentarium starts with 136 discipline whereas my fully upgraded version capped at 130.
Similarly, Xur's Lucky raspberry armor today starts with 140 intellect, while my fully upgraded version is capped at 113.
I have put a serious amount of time into getting the shards to upgrade these exotics and now I'm feeling like that was a waste of time.
This RNG nonsense on exotic armor should be taken out back and shot in the head.
Otherwise they aren't truly exotic armor pieces at all.
I shall list the numbers on my Exotic armor pieces for you to compare to your own,
Titan>
HELM OF INMOST LIGHT - STR +111 (100% upgraded)
HELM OF SAINT 14 - INT +92 (2 upgrades remaining)
ARMAMENTARIUM - DIS +130 (100%)
Hunter>
KUCKLEHEAD RADAR - STR +106 (2 defense upgrades remaining)
LUCKY RASPBERRY - INT +113 (100%)
Warlock>
LIGHT BEYOND NEMESIS - STR +93 (100%)
APOTHEOSIS VEIL - DIS +103 (0%)

I definitely agree. When I fully upgraded my exotic chest piece Heart of the Praxic Fire, it had 120 strength. Not a strength on warlock fan myself, but I helps the light level and get my bonus shield faster as sunsinger. 2 weeks later, Xûr sells it and it starts with 121 strength. Negligible difference in the beginning, but still higher, and will be more so once upgraded. I was more than a little pissed. I think RNG on those stats are okay IF AND ONLY IF there is a reforge system like Diablo 3, where you can reroll just that stat with a chance for both a higher and lower value. Maybe even which stat it goes to. Otherwise, the RNG drops should have the same if not higher stats due to the rarity of exotic drops (feel higher shouldn't be by much, and this is my least preferred).
