well will you? based on the way they've treated the franchise and it's userbase thus far.....
please state why or why not.
let's all have a healthy discussion about this game and it's future...we get to decide it after all....we'll talk with our wallets!!
personally i am done with this franchise after House of Wolves comes out.....never have i ever been so disappointed in a game as i have been with Destiny. and what makes it worse is the sheer lack of content and lack of variety in the little content we did receive.
everyday we play over the same missions and bounties, and the DLC has not lessened that monotony.
any other game that would hve shipped with the little content that Destiny had shipped with, would have been ridiculed by the press. but wonders never cease in the gaming industry.
Destiny short-changed us plain and simple.
discuss....

Only reason I'm still playing is because I bought the expansion pass like an idiot before playing the game through to the end. So after HOW I'm done.
-
Seems alot of people are quitting after house of wolves, expansion pass lessons learnt by a few at least I hope.
-
Definitely I've spent over 200 hours on this game I got my moneys worth. Do I think we were screwed, yup. Its Activision for goodness sake know what your getting into.
-
Well I hope everyone realizes how anti consumer DLC season passes are.
-
nope not after this bull shit
-
I'd consider it 3 months after release, there's no way in hell I'll invest into a game that's as broken as Destiny is. But knowing how Bungie have took every opportunity to ignore its user base and simply carry on regardless of the outcries to fix the game, the second outing will be a story less bug ridden, content less disaster.

Edited by Gothicc___: 2/16/2015 4:18:46 AMIt depends if Bungie can get Destiny right by the time Destiny 2 comes out.

Nope. The Reason: Bungie has displayed their hand when it comes to their customers. They would rather fix crap we do not care about, and never really discuss, instead of addressing major game-breaking problems. The weapons tweaking update last week reinforces this point - they would rather nerf/buff different weapon types rather than push forward with any of our actual complaints about the game. Look at Crota's End - the cheese everyone was utilizing to get it done - how long did it take Bungie to fix that? 3 weeks? 4 weeks? Now look at the VoG - all the bugs and glitches Bungie said "We can not fix that because those are host connection issues". Funny, but cheesing Crota was a Host Connection issue that you guys took no time at all correcting (as a matter of fact, if it wasn't the holiday season, I bet they would have had it patched sooner...) And now look at Crota's End - the thing is riddled with glitches, many brought on most likely because Bungle (<--- not a typo) corrected cheese and caused other problems. And where are they with all of those issues? I hear nothing but crickets...Why? Because they hinder our progress. If they helped us complete an objective, then you better believe the cheese will be fixed, but if it causes us to log more hours and perpetuate play time on their servers, then it can wait a few months before they decide to tell us that such bugs are "unfixable". Does anyone remember the original VoG? The Time Stream even would pull the 3 individuals furthest from Atheon. Raid squads could decide those best suited for Oracles, and those to hang back and take care of Supplicants. Then Bungle said "Oh that is a bug we need to fix *wink* *wink*" and made the even random. If Atheon was behaving within a specific set of parameters (i.e. teleport 3/6 furthest away to 1 of 2 random locations) then how the hell was that a "bug"? Not to mention look at what happened once they made their "correction": - An inconsisitent number of players would be transported (anywhere from 1 to 3, regardless of whether any Guardians had died) - On Hard, Atheon's shield would randomly go with a member, or more, that were teleported So they change something hoping to artificially increase the difficulty and force their consumers to play the game more, but the problems created from the fix, which hinder the players, were not only ignored, but actually accepted as just part of the game now. I am not giving Bungle any more of my hard earned dollar. They had a shot to rule this console gen, and they blew it.

Possibly, but after I see gameplay footage on YouTube on how much content there is and the complexity behind the game

Edited by WINTER PROPHET: 2/16/2015 3:59:28 AMNo. Jason Jones and Luke Smith shouldn't have segregated DLC OWNERS from non-DLC owners removing their ability to play together. You add bought content. You don't remove it from the core game product. That's EA's moral code.

Destiny 2 crosses my mind a lot. And as much as I'm excited to show off my progress to the new destiny noobs. Showing off my legacy items like the Mythoclast or Vanquisher. I don't think it'll warrant a buy from me. With games like bloodborne, borderlands, tom clancys new game, and FO4 creeping up. All games that require plenty of game time, my game list is too full to make space for a grind fest, repetitive and mind numbing experience. Id rather play 20 hours of borderlands hd and not get good loot, yet have a blast than 1 hour of destiny and get 5 gjallohorns. Plus the game I will sell my soul for that I didn't mention before is Star Wars: Battlefront. I've waited 10 years for a sequel. I actually still play the second one from time to time and have the PSP version too.

After House of Wolves I'm done. If they do what Bioware did after Dragon Age 2, and actually bust ass to fix everything the fans complained about (within reason), I'll probably buy the Gane of the year edition of Destiny 2. I got sucked into the hype train for Destiny and bought the expansion pass, and man, that's the biggest waste of $30 I've ever spent. Now, don't get me wrong, the game is fun, and I play the crap out of it, but I'm disappointed, and bored. I'm attempting to get a couple more exotics to finish out my collection, but even that is getting really painful. Bungie had a beautiful idea with this game, and you can see all of the unused potential just aching to get out. But I think they tried to do too much, and ended up not doing enough. I read the grimoire cards, and I see this rich lore that I really want to experience when I fire up my console, and I get a really good FPS with no substance, no immersion, and no soul. I really wanted this to be one of the franchises that I could happily talk to people excitedly about, and it's not. Sorry for rambling like an old man.

Will I buy destiny 2? Does a bear shit in the woods?
-
Edited by Shinobi_187x: 2/9/2015 1:10:59 AMNope... Unless destiny 2 is free to everyone who pre-ordered the original game & Bungie personally apologize for screwing all of us ... Who else agrees ?? Don't let them Nerf Ur brain & steal out of Ur wallet for an unfinished game.
-
Nah not that i hate the game the grind is just too much to have to do all of that all over again..maybe if character can be imported
-
Not even finishing this Destiny lol. Diablo 3 and Borderlands Handsome Edition. Add on ESO if it doesn't get delayed again. Destiny is dead in the water.
-
-
Yep. Like the game and see no others coming that will keep my attention for an equivalent length of time.
-
Absolutely not. Most disappointing game of the year
-
No, I will not buy Destiny 2. Bungie has given me every reason not to buy it.
-
Destiny is the least shittiest game out there. So unless a new game comes and kicks bungie ass we gonna be buying destiny,2 and it will be exactly the same as the game now
-
Depends if they fix this game and make it better

Edited by Elite-Hunter_17: 2/15/2015 4:48:27 AMI've just about had my fill. The expansion pass is the only reason why I'm still playing. Monster hunter 4 ultimate is supposed to arrive at my front door Monday, once that gets dropped off, I'm done till HoW. By then I'll also have dragonball xenoverse as well, so I'll definitely be playing that. Once I'm done with HoW, I think that's it for me and destiny. Destiny honestly had a lot of potential, but I'm personally done with the grind and the great amount of redundancy. And I highly doubt HoW will offer that much variation compared to what we have now. Bungie seriously needs to reevaluate their "vision" for destiny, because it is not appealing anymore. Christmas noobs might not find anything wrong with the game seeing as how destiny is a fresh experience for them, but once you acquire everything you want in destiny, there is practically no replay value whatsoever. I know this is subject to my opinion, but how an exclusive online multiplayer game loses replay value over time is beyond me.
-
Maybe
-
No. They will undoubtably screw up that game just as much as this one and I have no intention of returning to this shit fest.
-
So far i may skip to destiny 3
