So I finally get to 30, and the next expansion is basically Bungie flipping me the bird...
All that work - all that grindy farming, strike after strike, oracle cp's, etc etc, just to get to 30, and now in order to progress any further I will have to reset my exotic, and get new raid gear, of which I will need to level up via grindy raid BS.
Oh, but now I can trade marks for materials! So now I won't have to farm planets! Joy!
And I might as well use my marks for material, considering Bungie is now going to make uber-legendary gear in the tower require a vanguard/crucible/faction rank before you can purchase. I hit rank 5 on Dead orbit and New Monarchy - now I feel stupid! I should have waited before dumping all that time into bounties and patrols and waited - I could have had 4 commendations for all that work.
Any luck on getting those commendations retroactively? Probably not - that would make sense! I have a bud who is Vanguard rank 14 - boy did he waste his time!
Not to mention now all Level 32's will look THE SAME, with just a different shader on to somehow be "unique" - how about you let us actually increase the light level of gear we may prefer instead of forcing the same gear on everyone? You like the look of that Exodus armor? Good, wear it - and be 29 forever.
For a game that cost an ass-load of time and money to make, could they make it any more -blam!-ing bland? Just thinking about turning on my console tonight is making me think of cheap, generic vanilla ice-cream....

At least you got to level 30 ... I have 3 chars at level 29 ... for each I miss one RAID piece... and you say well how many times did you do the Raid... well at least 7 times per character with at least 2 of those on HARD with each character... and NO level 30 for me... Yes the droppings of gear in the RAID SUCKS BUNGIE .. I realize its RANDOM... but come on after doing so many RAIDS not 1 character I can bring up to 30 ... that really upset me ... Ive seen people do one normal raid and get boots gloves and body armor buy one gold helmet lvl 30... I did more then 20 RAIDS over all my characters NOT ONE LVL 30. At once I had 4 chest pieces from the Raid for my TITAN... and that was all... didnt get anything else. And you say you waste time ... LOL ... all my chars have high Vanguard Rank !!! ALL OF EM !!! Almost all my exotics are MAXED ... now I can start upgrading them ALL OVER if I upgrade them... coz how I read it upgrading fully upgraded exotic or one that hasnt been done SHIT to will have the same result a NOT UPGRADED slightly higher EXOTIC... so in short.. .the more you did... the more you get screwed... c Is this FAIR ??? No of course it isnt... more then 100 Ascendent Energie left... about 90 Shards left... are they of any use ??? ... so much playing time to get to level 30... I like raids... but after about 10 Raids I started to just feel disappointment after disappointment when recieving the same armor piece over and over again which I didnt need... I would have still played the Raid at level 30... I wouldnt have played it for that chest any more and actually enjoy it a lot more ... now I just feel screwed every time I finish one again... ow great again that chest piece I allready got 5 off... and still no boots... great ... fun... So if you are at LEVL 15 in vanguard... YOU SHOULD GET THE COMMENDATIONS THAT BELONG WITH IT !!!!!!! I see why bungie is doing this... they want this to be a fun game for everyone ... mediocrity is key... if your better then average... you get screwed... if you are worse then average you get lucky... it sucks... but thats how game makers try and have a game fun for as large a fanbase as they can... Bungie... stop making players feel they are getting screwed over constantly... we pay for the game, the extra content... at least stop screwing us over by taking away or making useless what we earned by playing. Let me give you a couple of TIPS for FREE 1. If an exotic is allready maxed and you UPGRADE it ... YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO UPGRADE IT AGAIN 2. If you do the raid for x time ... you SHOULDNT GET THE SAME RAID SHIT UNLESS YOU ALLREADY HAVE ALL RAID GEAR 3. IF YOU HAVE SHITLOADS OF SHARD/ENERGY YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRADE IT FOR THE NEW SHARDS/ENERGY ... TO BE FAIR I THINK THE NEW SHARDS/ENERGY MAKE PLAYERS FEEL SCREWED... STICK WITH A CURRENCY ... AND MAKE IT MORE EXPENSIVE TO UPGRADE! 4. IF YOU ARE AT LVL 15 IN VANGUARD RANK ... GIVE PEOPLE 15 COMMENDATIONS... DONT SCREW EVERYONE OVER BY RESETTING THEM ! 5. DONT RESET PEOPLES RANK OR WOTEVER TO TRY AND LEVEL PLAYERS, THAT IS NOT FAIR... THEY PLAYED FOR IT, THEY EARNED IT !
