I'm writing a series of Destiny short stories taking place around the climax of the games plot, or rather, my theorized version of the climax. There's new gear, enemies, weapons, and powers, but there are familiar characters featured in it. Mostly familiar. [spoiler]Except Rahool. He WILL die. Horribly. Deliciously. Spectacularly. You can help with that too!//Proposed idea at the bottom! [/spoiler] It also answers some questions, like where does Saladin live, and what happened to his relationship with Shaxx? How do the Vanguards fight, and with what? Are there dragons????? Why am I doing this? Practice. I want to be a better writer and storyteller, and this is a great way to do it. Why do I need your Guardians? I want to feature several of them in the stories! There will be ten player Guardians featured in the series, each representing every single subclass (even the rumored ones that will come). I need 6 Titans, 2 Warlocks (My Sunsinger is already joining up), and 1 Hunter. One submission per player please. I would like a name (lore/race friendly) and gender, race, a personality/combat style, a subclass, and a favorite weapon type. Exotics are not exactly recommended, as I want to feature those weapons as unique to certain characters. Include them if you like, but be wary that it might not be available for your character's use. Armor is fair game. Be deep and unique, but concise. It isn't helpful to give me a whole 'nother short story to build into each character, nor can they all be mysterious and brooding Olympian gods that eat metal and shit glory. I want actual people. Hell, I want [i]you.[/i] Three Guardians will make it to the final showdown, one of each class. I cannot guarantee that it will be your character, nor can I guarantee that they will live to see the end. I can't even guarantee them a badass or fair death, should they be offed. My Sunsinger will [b]not[/b] be in the final showdown, fret not. This is for you guys. When the series is done, I'll find a way to get it to you guys. Rahool, the coward he is, decides to join them. He meets Arach Jalaal, who shows him to his escape pod. Jalaal tells Rahool that the destination has been previously entered, and all Rahool needs to do is start up the pod. They need someone of his "caliber" to scope out the planet and glean knowledge for them. Rahool obliges, gets in, and takes off. As Jalaal watches Rahool fly off, two Dead Orbit member rush over to him. One is blurting something about a missing Thrall captee, and another about a prematurely launched pod taking off towards the sun. Jalaal looks at them both and smiles, pulling out an Exotic weapon: Dragon's Breath. Both Dead Orbit members stop squawking and gasp, entranced by the weapon. "That was my reaction too," says Jalaal. He raps on the weapon in the middle, causing it to fall apart. A sound comes out in Rahools voice: [i]I'm such a Rahooligan! [/i] Looking at the now confused DO members, he laughs, "let's get the hell off this rock."[/spoiler] Secret characters--what I've posted is all I'm taking.
