You are a crybaby. Not everyone uses it. I get killed by plenty of other weapons while using it. Hand cannons are high risk high reward, it's harder to use than an AR or PR.

Let's nerf them all because they kill quickly with head shots. Let's ignore the fact that if any gun on the planet were to shoot you in the head, we wouldn't have to nerf it. We'd just go on about our day, less idiotic threads to scroll passed.

Now before I start my reason why the nerf was needed dont hate on me cuz believe it or not i love handcannons and I own some pretty good ones. This time handcanons got an aim assist nerf and a minor but noticeable range and stability nerf. What this translates to is...no more easy headshot kills. The only reason why handcannons were so OP is because the aim assist was so strong at times plus adding the stability and range stats of the cannon(exp: HwkMn, Thorn, any legendary HC with average or + range and stability including perks) that would make it easy for any HC user to go for headshots because 80-90 percent of the time it would always be a comfirmed kill and the crazy thing about this was that even TLW w/ horrid range benefited from the op HC aim assist BEFORE THE PATCH. Before I start I would like to point out that I play as a Warlock Voidwalker with HC,sniper, rockets in Crucible(exp plyr). Now after patch as a full blown HC user I can honestly say that it takes alot more skill to get headshots even on exotic HC. I own HwkMn,Thorn,RedHand9 (w/perks Hipfire,sendit,feedingfrenzy) and have played with them for a decent amount of time after patch an can say that any HC with average or + stats(including perks affecting these stats) in range and stability seem to cancel out the RANGE and STABILITY nerf ONLY. You do notice right away that the SUPER OP aim assist is almost non existent which means that if we HC users want those good'ol headshots we have to relay on our skills and the HC's range and stability stats to achieve headshots not the aim assist. The HC's that I noticed the nerf the most was my Timurs Slash(w/perks zen moment,field scout(PvE) or perfect balance(PvP),feedingfrenzy) and TLW(own it). Both of these weapons suffer from the lack of range or stability stat which means that HC users with The Last Word have to play extremely aggressive close range and take advantage of the HipFire and The Last Word perk because of the lack of range. Same for Timurs Lash HC users they have to pick theyre shots and play at ranged distances becase of the weapons rate of fire and lack of stability. With that said I believe that players should try these weapons out before they cry nerf and see how EASY it is to get HC kills and how it DOESN'T require ANY SKILL AT ALL to use HC. Trust me it takes skill now for those good'ol headshots.

8 RepliesThorn has a .36 second/kill time. All other primaries have around a .8-1 second time to kill. (Critical shots assumed) Those saying that Thorn is not overpowered are ignorant of the actual data expressing TTK. To fix this, simply reduce the DoT effect (in PVP only) to prevent two shot kill capability.

Ive never thought crucible was over run with thorns, in truth I rarely see them, they are pretty good weapons, but so are others. bungie alreay broke AR'S with nerfs, do we really need them to break any more weapons.

The community has NOT spoken. Git gud and counter it. It does take skill because you have to land the shots... Also lots of other weapons can kill you faster. If you want to complain about op weapons, go play cod ad and use the bal 27, you scruby dub dub

And the fact that it was just nerfed would mean that it was even more powerful before. The fact that so many ppl are complaining about it now more than ever shows that the nerf to auto rifles worked. I was always a thorn user and was just being rekt by Suros and vanquisher. Now ppl play way more with handcannons and pulse rifles. If they nerf any handcannons there will be nerf posts for red death. So no. No more nerfs. These posts are ridiculous

Have you ever done that pain in the ass bounty? It's SO -blam!-ING HARD. And you know what? Thorn wasn't worth it, until it was buffed. The only place, though, that thorn performs exceedingly well is PVP. Exotics are all situational, and Thorn's got to be one of the most versatile. However, you're gonna have more trouble killing someone with Red Death, Vex, or many other exotics. Calm the -blam!- down. Thorn should stay where it is, having been nerfed, buffed, nerfed again, and buffed again. So. Play the game. Adapt. Good day.

How do people get 2 shot kills with thorn?? Even with head shots it takes at least 3 shots to kill for me. & mines maxed

I Gotta side with this guy. Honestly thorn is OP, but they need to take it down a bit in PvP. People can fire across map with it and get kills. That's not right. That's why we have snipers. At least nerf it to take down the range.
