Super Good Advice & Pocket Infinity Bounties
Has anyone experienced an issue where you can never acquire these two bounties? I have received numerous bounty quests, but they are ALWAYS:
A Light In The Dark
Toland's Legacy
A Dubious Task
Is this common? I have been getting at least two quests a week and never received the other two. Anyone else with this issue?

It seems like a few of you guys are in the same or similar boat, but yet, several are not having any difficulties. It could be for many reasons though, such as having an exotic bounty waiting to be completed in inventory (thank you for the suggestion FromNowOn!)
Some suggestions were to keep them in the inventory and, perhaps, you'll increase the chance of other bounties dropping for you that are needed. (thank you for the suggestion FromNowOn!)
It would be nice if Bungie could confirm this method or give us some insight into the situation.

I've had the thorn/bad juju/invective bounties 9 times since day 1 and no pocket/SGA bounties as of yet, for some reason I just can't get the other two bounties.

I've been offered every exotic bounty apart from thorn which is the only really decent one...

I've received enough exotic bounties that I don't even know how many it was. Only got to pick Pocket Infinity or SGA twice. That's once each, and the second one was yesterday. I've been playing since day 1. I think that's a little absurd how rare they are.

I've got the thorn x2 bad juju and super good advice, I think I've cursed myself by having the ten rare fusion rifles in my vault for about 4 month. Last time I got the bounty choice I only got the two choices Tolands and a dubious task. Still not getting any luck with exotics other than buying from Xur. I'm sure the others who get drops are doing something were not some kind of points systems that triggers the other bountys.

Same thing. Same 3 stupid bounties, all I want is SGA, for completion sake as well as I want to give it a try. I feel like the system is either really badly broken or....I dunno, really badly broken. I know you can have multiple exotic bounties at the same time, but if you don't pick one and just sit on the Missive can you have multiple Missives? Or am I precluding the chance for another to pop up by not picking one?

1 Replybetween all my guardians i have all of them but with these two i was able to get one pocket infinity with my primary warlock and one super good advice with my titan. I have completed each of the 3 common exotic bounties several times each, enough to give each of my characters one before the upgrade and then again after. now i have another set of the common 3 with 2 of my 3 characters. kind of redundant and i am getting tired of these bounties taking up space in my bounty inventory for a week or so. I am curious if any one has waited to choose one of them to see if it would possibly change?

So I was working Bjj running roc strikes, about 23 into it, when I got the bjj bounty at the end of the strike. It reset my progress and I had to do it all over. SGA was my first exotic

Had an extended string of Mentor Missives offering only Thorn, Bad Juju or Invective, actually. It won't show you ones you have active so it went sort of like: * Thorn, Bad Juju, Invective * Bad Juju, Invective * Invective * nuffin-> Thorn, after Thorn was complete * Thorn * Thorn * SGA, PI, and whichever the third is of that set, finally. Why the Mentor Missive doesn't give you a random choice of the bounties you don't currently have, instead of one of two preset sets of choices, I don't know. I got SGA before, so I'm working on Pocket Infinity, now.

I must be an oddity as I have received all 5 3 times each and now have a 4th Pocket Infinity for my Titan. They really seem to drop almost in sequence for me.

Infinty bounty is harder to complete..., well, not harder but it is takeing me much more time than it should... ...i even completed the Thorn bounty in two days.

I dismantled the SGA months ago when I was mad about how terrible it was. Then they went and buffed the exotics I figured I would pick up the bounty. I just got the bounty last weekend. Like the OP I was offered those same 3 bounties every time.

I have both but do mainly get the other 3 which is annoying as the 2 mentioned are easiest and the quickest way to exotic shards.

I got pocket infinitely bounty from turning in an Eris bounty and the thorn bounty from her as well

I'm in your same boat. I've had four missives and they're always thorn, BJJ, and invictive. I really want super good advice or pocket infinity. They just seem like fun guns

Finally got the choice of pocket infinity or super good advice bounties, been playing since day 1 and had thorn, juju and invective about 15 times

4 RepliesFor me it is, vanguard = invective, thorn and bad juju. crucible = super good advice, pocket infinity and bad juju. I've also been able to receive both sets of bounties by handing in a mixture of the two, I handed in three vanguard bounties then was able to select thorn and I handed in two crucible bounties and selected pocket infinity, I need only bad juju to have all the bounty exotics available. Hope this helps.

I've gotten them both twice in 300 hours or so I've played. So yeah they're pretty rare.

The past 10 missives I've gotten are a light, Yolanda, and dubious.
