Now I don't want this to become the standard whine about Xûr thread. But enough is enough. Every Friday for now 3 months. He has showed up. He has stirred us all up, and he left. Ever since I first started looking for gear on this game, there were 3 things I wanted. Hard Light, Helm of Saint 14, and The Heart of the Praxxic Fire robes. Xûr has never sold 2 of those 3. I have saved up enough Motes of Light, each week, to buy at least 1 of the engrams he sells every visit. Still none of those 3. Since week 3, I have been doing the Nightfall. I have completed the raid several times. I now have 3 level 28-30 characters. I do the Nightfall, and raids, with all 3, each week. Still yet to get those elusive items. I get that we have to rely on RNGeesus for exotics, but it is beginning to wear a little thin. I used to have this faint hope that surely, Bungie will have coded Xûr to go through his full inventory before ever repeating previously sold items. I think the fact we had Voidfang Vestements (what felt like) 7 times in a row and now Plan C twice in a row, proves otherwise. [b]BUT MY MAIN POINT[/b] here is this, and all players that accuse of me of whinging about Xûr's goods should consider this before they post: From Tuesday, Xûr is now an integral part of the games mechanics. He will be required to improve existing Exotics to damage levels needed for levels 30-32. From Tuesday, Xûr will decide which exotics, he chooses to upgrade that week. Do you all realise what that means? I have waited 3 months, to get the chance of buying either of those 3 items above. From Tuesday, I could potentially have to wait another 3 months (or worse) to ever get the chance of Xûr deciding I can upgrade that item. This is to be the case because the items he will upgrade that week, will be as randomly choson as the ones he decides to sell each week. As there seems to be no coding preventing him from selling duplicates, he could potentially only offer the same items to be upgraded for the next 4 months. He may never offer the chance to upgrade your Hard Light as he has never sold it, this is entirely possible. And for those people with PS exclusive Monte Carlo's or Hawkmoons, HE WILL NEVER OFFER THAT OPTION (until they are on availble on XBox). This quite frankly, is a very grim and depressing outlook on the future of our relationships with Xûr. The hatred we have for him when he doesn't bring anything new, will only get worse. Bungie have coded poor seaweed-face Xûr in a potentially disastrous way, and this needs to be changed if you ask me: HE NEEDS to cycle through all of the available exotics, before ever repeating an item. EVERY WEEK he NEEDS to be able to bring new items to sell or upgrade. THIS change should not be ignored. It could prove disastrous for us all if it is not considered and make unbearable grinds even worse when it comes to exotics. That is all fellow Guardians. **EDIT - Just learned that Xur no longer sells exotic engrams either. Those exotics keep getting further and further away.** **EDIT2 - In case you all wonder, here is Xur's entire inventory since Week 1 http://www.destinyxur.com/ ** **EDIT3 - BETA testers and websites with access to Dark Below have confirmed that Xur's upgrade items are as randomly assigned as the items he sells. So my fears are not presumptions or conjecture, but actual fact - HE MAY NEVER OFFER AN UPGRADE ON AN EXOTIC YOU HAVE.**
