The Dec 9th patch is unjust to Destiny Veterans

So let me get this straight... Bungie is telling us, that they're fixing the problems with the Vault of Glass by not fixing them in the Vault of Glass, but instead making sure the new raid doesn't have the same issues with RNG? What about the people who still plan on running the Vault after the new dlc drops? What about the people who don't have the expansion? Are they going to be stuck doing a raid with 85% chances of getting extra ascendant materials? Those of us like myself who have 10+ exotics maxed out have to lose all the stuff we invested in it just so that it can compete with the new exotics by upgrading them. So in my mind this is what I'm seeing as the meaningless, grindy, 5 step process. 1. Take your exotic that you have nearly maxed out to Xur. Buy an Exotic shard for 7 coins. 2. Use your exotic shard to max out your weapon. 3. Now lose all the progress you spent on that weapon by using what will be 7 more strange coins for 1 more Exotic shard. 4. Now we get to spend another week upgrading our "new" exotic weapon to almost maxed out. 5. When Xur arrives AGAIN go spend 7 more strange coins for 1 final exotic shard to actually max out your weapon. What I'm seeing here is yet another "make them grind even more" for little progress update. All we're doing is upgrading the same weapon twice and spending 3 times as many coins as we currently have to spend to upgrade one thing. Throwing in the fact that most people won't have time to max out an exotic twice in a week it also forces us to take a minimum of 2 weeks to do just that. How is this fair to the players who have exotics maxed out, had spare exotics on patch date YESTERDAY, broke those down for Exotic shards, and are now being told that our current exotics won't be as powerful as the new ones unless we throw all the time and bounties we put into them out the window? And what about the new nightfalls. Now Nightfalls are going to be restricted only to people who have beaten the Vault on hard and gotten lucky enough to get all their raid gear or those who got exotic helmets from Xur with the rest of their gear from the raid. It's one thing to try and "keep up with the game" but it's another to do whatever you can to try and make the game more difficult and less rewarding. If you want the nightfalls to challenge higher level players then create something new for them to do. Now the 28s who want a shot at it don't have a chance and have to grind for what could be months at a time just to get a piece of gear that pushes them to 30 so they can do a nightfall and get bonus experience that they likely no longer need after spending that many weeks trying to level gear and weapons. Nightfalls need to stay a level 28 activity if you want the majority of the player base to actually participate in them. How hard can it be to create a new type of strike that's only for level 30+? Why not just GIVE THE OPTION to change difficulty on a Nightfall like on the Heroic? Unless I'm mistaken and you're simply making a level 28 and level 30 nightfall which would be fine. Last thing I have to complain about is the rotation of new modes. Why the hell can't we just have all of our modes active at once? What is the issue with being able to play what we want when we want? Crucible is less fun than it has to be because we should have access to 8 modes once this drops, but instead we'll be limited to 5 at a time and 6 when there's an event going on for Salvage or Combined Arms. There would be so much more replay value if we could do what we wanted when we wanted. Instead you all are dragging out our "content" by limiting when we can play what we paid for.
