Ummm....I don't know about everyone else, but I got nothing from Dead Orbit but some glimmer, a strange coin and a mote of light. I did get a chest piece after hitting rank 3, but that only has 27 light, so not enough to be relevant anymore. And New Monarchy gave me a gun that is going to be obsolete.

simple. i can talk about ranks since i am at high faction ranks. You gain not only motes, coins and glimmer you gain guns/gear/ascendant energy/material and also a gear piece each time you lvl up. it goes to your mailbox once you break the rank barrier. so you did get something once you hit rank 3. it is suppose to have 27 light because its meant to get you to 28. if you want to go to 29 u should have picked up the the IB but let me guess you didnt want to even though it was easy. well now you have another avenue to make it to 30. a 3rd avenue now. guns are never obsolete. only players are. if you are running and gunning then you are the problem not the gun. i see it all the time. players just running around thinking they are gods with guns shooting and not using their other abilities. its a joke in true step. Listen pretty clear. no game is perfect but to rant that things arent being done when they are opening more doors is wrong.

Ok, you missed my point: the rewards for ranking up are not always a weapon or gear. At rank 3 you are garunteed one of those items, but after that it is random. And now, going forward, you won't get any gear: just glimmer, maybe a shader, and an emblem. Fun, right? And then next week you will get commendations that you can use, with your marks, to buy guns and armor to hit 30/31 (with an exotic).

bad luck i guess. you have more of a chance at getting weapon/gear or if anything energy/material so stop it rank 10,6,8 look maybe you dont have the right items on or i dont know whats wrong with your character. me and my clan get our gear when we rank as well as when we do events. i dont rely on the ranks to get gear but used the gear for more shards when i did not do the raid. you had no point just a rant. i have no seen no notes saying hey all the ranks you did are being reset. if you saw that yeah let me see where this is said. otherwise you did the ranking and continue forward. how else would you gain points.

you had no point other then to try and say bungie why you change things up. its called expansion and growth. not using the same system everyone was complaining about. Your point was a rant at a system you do not understand. i can read exceptionally and you points had no valid avenue, but to say i dont like your new system because i do not understand how its going to work! I could see if you had a rank 10 in the factions but you dont. The rewards i got for having my ranks up past 6 i am happy with along with many other players. i used those materials to get my current gear up. now you want more then what was already given. I was not asking why they "changed things up" - I was asking why they are giving people the shaft - there is a difference. Good for you for hitting rank 10 on a faction - I wanted to try them all instead of just focusing on one. But it seems silly to now add a new requirement (commendations) on an old system (ranks) in order to acquire new DLC gear. They are layering an already subpar economic system in-game instead of actually giving us a REAL in-game economy. And dude, I read the patch notes - did you? All you are doing is going on about your ranks, and that was only one of the items I had an issue with.

uhmmm you really need some help, no one is getting the shaft son/girl. clam down its a game first of all and you really need to step back and understand this is an expansion. some people are not getting the expansion and can still play. mind you if you dont have the expansion then you wont be able to use the upgraded exotic gun/gear. see this is how i know you are just ranting without reading or for a matter understanding whats coming. It might be to much for you and you gave up on trying to understand the new expansion. no one can help you here. destiny news has laid it out pretty simple so i suggest going there to understand things a bit further. BTW i think you should take your time in reading. i said factions not just one silly rabbit. see you have to slow down and understand what you are reading not just try and summarize up and hope you understood everything. I read more then the notes. i always visited twitter as well as destinynews.com. you just dont understand. patch notes dont explain in full detail whats coming. it is a list and its not complete since its not all there. so you are one of those. this is not a true mmo so the in game ecomony will be abused because that is what players do when they are given devices. everyone does it right now and bungie sees that. they dont want the game to break. you should have figured this out by now but oh well. dude/girl again dont know who you are in all. i read your post. it is mainly on the ranking system and how its not fair with the new system they are introducing. if you do not understand the expansion then sure you wont like it. this is the summary of your OP
