So I finally get to 30, and the next expansion is basically Bungie flipping me the bird...
All that work - all that grindy farming, strike after strike, oracle cp's, etc etc, just to get to 30, and now in order to progress any further I will have to reset my exotic, and get new raid gear, of which I will need to level up via grindy raid BS.
Oh, but now I can trade marks for materials! So now I won't have to farm planets! Joy!
And I might as well use my marks for material, considering Bungie is now going to make uber-legendary gear in the tower require a vanguard/crucible/faction rank before you can purchase. I hit rank 5 on Dead orbit and New Monarchy - now I feel stupid! I should have waited before dumping all that time into bounties and patrols and waited - I could have had 4 commendations for all that work.
Any luck on getting those commendations retroactively? Probably not - that would make sense! I have a bud who is Vanguard rank 14 - boy did he waste his time!
Not to mention now all Level 32's will look THE SAME, with just a different shader on to somehow be "unique" - how about you let us actually increase the light level of gear we may prefer instead of forcing the same gear on everyone? You like the look of that Exodus armor? Good, wear it - and be 29 forever.
For a game that cost an ass-load of time and money to make, could they make it any more -blam!-ing bland? Just thinking about turning on my console tonight is making me think of cheap, generic vanilla ice-cream....

It's completely silly that those who DID level the factions and vanguard are at a disadvantage to those who didn't bother. A vision of the Bungie head designer kicking a poor player into a bottomless pit and shouting "THIS IS BUNGIE!" as they fall to their deaths suddenly crossed my mind. They seem to have that little respect or regard for their players. I suspect that, like me, people were giving bungie one last chance by waiting for the DLC. To be told you need to re-grind to get back to where you currently are will be that final kick in the chops that we need to move on and say "ho hum we tried to like it" Edit: If Bungie are truly trying to respect their players then the Raid guns from VOG should be leveled up to match their Crota's End equivalents (Tier 1). The raid gear should also be boosted to be equivalent to Iron Banner Tier 1 level 31 gear too, even if that means a gear progress reset. It's just plain nonsense if the gear won from the new iron banner is now going to be better than gear obtained from a raid!
