I think you're basing this on limited experience. Bungie's made huge walls against hardcore players; 100 mark cap per-week, Raid & Weekly challenge limits, a Vendor that sells the rarest of all gear using Coins that are more cost-efficient than Marks, and more. Guess what, when you put in 300+ hours in a game you're going to be leagues above the gent who's spent 125 in terms of what gear's available to that individual. With Matchmaking for the Raid all of the worst casuals (too unskilled to complete the VoG, LOL IMMA AFK!, The guy who eats something loud and crunchy in the mike and refuses to mute it so he can call out "Minphotor".) I will never defend the game's story, but I'll be damned if I don't say the Grimoire's a damn fine read.
