Well said, Dezarath. I liked farming the barrens, the ember caves and archer. I don't like the crucible. Shotguns and fusion rifles ruin it for me. Sadly this makes the decision for me- won't be getting the expansion now. They're really trying to force this crucible on us. But I don't want destiny as a PvP game, COD is that for me.

Then ignore the more than useless faction gear. It won't get you anything useful for the new raid. Stay out of pvp as you wish to and worry less about farming for materials to trade in. Especially since it took 1500 or something materials to get one weapon. I agree you should be able to use vanguard marks to buy the faction loot, but complaints about gear that isn't even useful are just pointless.
