This is an important conversation that I feel Bungie would do best to not dismiss. It seems that the are a lot of good reasons to do it, and only a few chances that it may go wrong. Many of the arguments against matchmaking seem to be cynical speculation, which is incongruent with how Bungie praises the community. Are we the altruistic wonderful and selfless guardians they talk about, or a pirates den of filth like it seems like they treat us. We've only just been afforded the privilege of talking to the people were playing with. I find that ridiculous.
Bungie seems to be aware that players enjoy a challenge based on how often they reference dark souls. So why not let the new guys try it. I promise if they open matchmaking I'll be there, helping groups through the vault. I'd like to do that now, but jumping into raids is pretty tedious, and although I get there are times I get barraged with invites it's usually when I don't have time to commit to a raid (getting invites is not the typical experience when trying to first get onto the raid, to be clear). Improve access, every guardian deserves a shot at Atheon, just give them an honest effort.

I will be there with ya. I enjoy running it with my clan. I would do it just to change the scenery. I get bored running Tiger after tiger. Count me in.
