At the beginning of the day i needed 5 motes of light to get the exotic gauntlet engram. I was going to give up because there was an hour left before the xur left and I was still 2 short. Then I got a mote of light from a strike. I was at about 50% to the next mote of light with 30 minutes left. That's where the desperate grind began. With 7 minutes left I got the mote and went to the xur hoping for a warlock or Titan gauntlet. Unfortunately, I got a hunter gauntlet :(
