Fusion Rifle Wars *A rant among other things*

It was 10 am on Friday morning when a yawning and still slightly sleepy me first awakened. After a few seconds of thought, i ultimately just wanted to plop back under the covers for safety from the chilly weather and to continue digesting the conquest from the previous day. But suddenly, i realize the joy of today. Xur is back and ready to supply his assortment of "brand new exotics," to the devoted guardians of Earth. Upon gazing at Xur's shadowy figure I knew what i wanted to take a look at. What kind of weapon did Xur bring to us this week? I went straight to check what the greatness could be but...wait, Plan C?! "THIS IS A LOAD OF *FILTER* *FILTER* *FILTER* *YADA* *YADA*" pretty much is the response i expected to get from the majority of the community about Xur's unacceptable haul of armor and weaponry, i know that's what i thought. Not that i should be surprised truthfully. Although...there were unforeseen consequences to the haul Xur brought in and unknowing to a majority of the community, they were about to be sucked right into the frustration. My days on destiny typically consist of kicking some guardian butt in the crucible, specifically skirmish (please check my records, if you dare). The thought of 6 vs 6 gives me gas. Upon the first battle of the day, little did i realize, the dreadful turn of events that i was about to face. 10 seconds into my first match, blasted to bits by what seemed to be an arc type fusion rifle. Another 15 seconds later, blasted. At first i thought someone just seemed to be enjoying their newly purchased fusion rifle, good for them! No, not just 1 of them, all 3 of them were blasting arc death everywhere. Halfway through the match and i was frustrated and about to succumb to the madness that was a fusion rifle war. However, i trusted in my handy sniper, and yes it pulled through. End of match 1 and somehow we overcame that disaster and flaunted victory. By the 3rd or 4th game i started to notice something. I was able to suppress my want to blast the ever living life out of every fusion rifling n00b out there. But some of the other guardians, no, most of the other guardians couldn't seem to keep their sanity. Now the crucible is overrun with Plan C's, Pocket Infinity's, Vex Mythoclasts, and what might be every other fusion rifle in existence brought out in a fit of rage. The fusion rifle wars have begun. All because Xur...*beep*ed up. AGAIN.

Played again today, and let me say, Xur has done his damage, and Arc countinues to be slung. But along with FR's, there has been significant increase in the quantity of "salt" being thrown around as well. *COUGH* *COUGH*

  • I found this entertaining. I have also noticed a slight increase in FR usage, but it doesn't really bug me. Crucible has always had a large number of FR users as is. I ended up skipping the Plan C since I have a pretty decent Calming which does pretty much the same thing, (hardly ever use that one anyway), and would rather save my exotic slot for something more useful.
