God I hate the fact that raid armor, which I MUST wear to hit level 30, doesn't give me the stats I want. I like gear that gives intellect and discipline. But the raid armor for my warlock gives strength and some intellect. So in order to level up, I have to sacrifice my discipline? That's bullshit. I want to throw grenades and pop off my supers. Not melee shit to death. When gear like that drops we should have a one time option of picking the stats. Ie, pick x amount of any 2 of the 3 skills and once their picked they cannot be changed. (48 int, 43 strenght, etc)

  • So get more raid gear or don't wear it. The few pieces of raid gear that I've found have different stats - unfortunately they all focus on discipline which goes to waste since I'm already 100%. Destiny has no requirement to be level 30, so why do you think that you must?

Well excuse me Mr dude sir guy. Days ago when I posted this, I had no idea raid armor came with random stats. Plenty of helpful peeps replied on here and assured me that I can keep raiding with the chance of getting armor with different stats. As far as being level 30, I understand that it's not a "requirement", but like 90 % of people that play, I'd like to be leveled up for further content. That's all.

  • Those stats are random rolls and you can continue doing the raid til you find pieces that give you the stats you want.

  • The armor from Saladin got you to 30 plus it had different stats... The boots from the raid gave me strength, but like you, I wanted more discipline.. I bought the boots from Saladin and he had a pair that was discipline and intellect. I also have a exotic helm that is all discipline.. so my discipline stat is 100%

  • Imo, the system might benefit more from having a very rare piece of armor drop from the raid and having the raids give you marks based on performance as a team to allow you to buy raid gear. This gives people something to cry about if someone gets something from RNG, but you can still work towards 30. A second idea might be to introduce pvp type armor and pve type armor. It'd make it easier to tell if someone got to level 30 just through IB or through endless raid. I understand that it would exclude a lot of people from hard raid, but people shouldn't be running a hard raid without first having run the normal raid till they know it like the back of their hands. Imo

Stat roles are random keep running the raid till you get the drop with the stat roll you like.

  • Considering in the weeks I've been running it I haven't gotten a single piece of armor (got two rocket launchers and two shotguns though, whoopee), that sounds good but doesn't play out.

  • Really? I didn't know that. I figured raid armor had set stats across the board. Good to know that I have a chance at some armor with stats I agree with. Thanks.
