Depends on what your expecting to get out of it. You have to be a huge rpg fan to appreciate it, it's very slow paced ( since there are so many things to read and so many people to talk to ). Game works better if you're familiar with the DA series although knowledge of prior games isn't mandatory. Sadly the overall story could be better, it's not bad but it's not the game's strong point ( character development is ). If you are a completion it's then the first area, the Hinterlands could be a real pain in the ass to slog through. Dragon Age Inquisition is a extremely huge game and a lot of the side quests in the Hinterlands are very generic and MMO'ish ( kill x amount of that, find x amount of that material, fight x bandit ), newbies to the DA games are encouraged to stay in the Hinterlands until they hit Lv.5-6 and then to leave and continue on with the story to keep the pace of the game up and it does get better after that. You can always come back at anytime to complete anything you missed. I've logged in about 10 or so hours and I feel as if I've barely even scratched the surface. Edit: just read the part where you said you've played the previous DA games. I would definitely get it then. It fixes all my pet peeves with DA:O and DA2. Combat is a good mix and match of the two games. The world feels like Skyrim. There are several zones but each one is huge and they are all different from one another. You are welcome to try and complete each zone but you will occasionally meet up with enemies who are beyond your level to fight ( like a Dragon in the Hinterlands ) so it's best to come back later.
