Sick of 30 only runs
I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

Blame the self-entitled teenage boys who have no friends in real life so they feel the need to hold some randomly rewarded prize over everyone's head that they can. Serious question though, if all you need is the helmet to get to 30 that implies you have the boots, gloves, and chest. Why not simply buy an exotic helmet? Edit: Ah, you also don't have the raid chest piece... so yeah, you don't just "need the helmet." You need two pieces.

Edited by Deus EP: 11/28/2014 5:08:49 PMI never had a problem finding a group when I was 29, however, I know there are a LOT more posts that say 30 only. You just have to be more aggressive. Always leave a comment that you have maxed raid weapons and experience.

Ran hard raid this morning with 2 29's best atheon in 5 min.. Ran it the night before with all 30's 3 hours.. It's just the people you play with

Honestly, when a person creates a raid group and is the leader, it is their prerogative who they want in the group. If you don't like it, don't cry on the forums, just create your own group and do the work to fill it up how you want.

You only have two completions of the raid. You have very little experience and should stick to the normal raid for now. You need the extra time to find better weapons and to get more experience in the raid.

Kinda similar problem. 4 of my team have left for new games and all i need for lvl 30 is either the raid chest or the raid helmet. Me and my lone team member have no one to raid with now and its annoying because i wanted to be 30 before Dark Below. Even if my team stayed, we wouldnt be able to do the hard raid OR the new raid on normal. Two of them are 27 and 28. They said theyre too lazy to farm the materials to lvl their gear.

1 ReplyI tried running hard raid earlier this week with 4 30s and we invited a couple 29s in. We spent 30 minutes at the confluxes wiping over and over because they kept dying. Every round the 30s were getting 30+ kills while the 29s were getting less than 10. I left then formed a group of only 30s. We beat the whole raid in 45 minutes back to back. Only if the 29 has max raid weapons will I try that again because i do know there's very skilled players out there. I never beat the raid as a 29 so I don't feel too bad.

I understand what you mean I also only need the helm to get to 30 on my warlock, but when prople want to raid you cant force them to take you, I did the hard raid for the first time this week and as a 29 it was ridiculous how much less you do than a 30 about 20-30% ive heard. But there will always be people ready to help :), I just think it was a little bit of a well not messup but maybe calculation error when making the game that youcan only get the helm from atheon on hard.

My group isn't that anal about it as long as we have 3 30's. Even if u were the only 29 we wouldn't mind running you through it. Do you not have an exotic helmet btw? That would get you there

I do not discriminate at all...but I do think you need half 30s half 29s to run a smooth raid

I don't care about the level as much, I'm more so concerned about the skill. If the 30's can't hold their own or provide cover, I'd rather have a skilled 29.

1 ReplyI tried running a hard raid with 2 level 30s (im one of them) and 4 level 29s. Never will i do that ever again. These 29s kept dying and tried blaming everything on me when i fail to solo the gatekeeper cause they are utterly useless.

I'm 29 and this doesn't really bother me, I'd rather be 30 before I do hard raid so I'm not just fodder for the adds/boss. Apart from fate bringer on hard mode, there's nothing else I want from the raid when I finally get 30.

I only let two 29's onto my raid team to make sure at least one lv30 gets teleported to grab the relic.

I'm level 30 and level 29's are welcome to raid with me anytime as long as they don't die every 2 seconds. Usually the 29's that die constantly are the ones who have full vanguard armor and have "beaten the raid a lot" when the most they've done is watched a gameplay and pushed atheon once or twice.

It's not about skill it's all about time, no one wants to spend 2 hours doing the hard raid when you can get 30s and do it in 45 minutes

It sucked when I was 29 too, but everyone can get to 30 without hard mode. Yea it sucks that it's hard to get into a raid group, but it's honestly that much harder with every 29 that's in the group. Most people got to 30 by getting exotic helms first. If you can't find a group for hard then that's it, quit blaming 30's because you refuse to level up an exotic helmet or you can't be bothered to run normal for every other piece armor.

1 ReplyI have no problem running with 4 29s and another 30 (I'm 30) on hard mode raid. I only look for two 30s in a fireteam for relic holding. That being said, you need to upgrade your weapons the damage penalty is MASSIVE without doing so. If you have raid weapons they need oracle perk. I have been getting into awful pugs lately with some really nasty and impatient players. It really makes for a terrible time. Luckily I built up a good inventory of friends on PS4. Please stop bashing and yelling over chat, I'll just report and leave.

Go to lfg and ask for 5 29s to help you do hard there problem solved.
