I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

Level 29s do less damage and die easier in hard mode compared to level 30s. Why the hell would we want that in our team?
-
29s OF EQUAL SKILL do less damage/receive more damage than 30s. so the raid is harder. there's no problem 2-3 29s because the 30s can make up for the damage dealt
-
You on PS4?
-
There's nothing wrong with 29s in the VoG. It's just that they die to easily. If it weren't for that, I would totally welcome you.

Cuss you stink

Edited by Dr Panda: 11/28/2014 5:41:42 PMWhen making a hard raid group I will normally only accept two 29's that way they never have to pick up the relic. You also don't even have to do the hard raid to reach 30. There has been multiple opportunities to get an exotic helm from xur. Yes you might prefer your exotic chest for your "build" but just level up a helm and get 30., it makes it so much easier to get a group and get that raid helm that you want.

I've been 29 and cleared hard each week so far. Having maxed fatebringer, icebreaker, and g-horn and experience helps. Even as a 29 my lvl 30 friends still ask me to solo gatekeepers and grab the relic for them. Its all about weapons and experience. At least being stuck at 29 means I have to keep my aim sharp and be aware of spawns.

I find a hard raid group on my 29 titan a lot. It might be because my gjallarhorn is like a VIP pass though

I was a 29 once, but never had this problem. I was always let in hard raids with 30s. I just told them level 29 hunter raid weapons, gallahorn, and icebreaker all maxed out. And I have done the raid on hard many times. Check my stats. And I was let in easily. However when you are a level 30 you will understand. Everything is easier and faster when you are 30. You can do the hard raid with 6 29s up until Atheon, after that it becomes really tough. That is when 30s are needed. I joined a team with 2 30s, plus me so 3 30s, and 3 29s. Everything went smooth, and we got to Atheon in about 40 minutes. Now we were at Atheon and the 29s were getting teleported and dying inside, or getting killed outside by supplicants. Let's just say that it took us an hour and 20 minutes to beat atheon, bringing our total raiding time to TWO HOURS. Which is not very fun.

Edited by Skillz301: 11/30/2014 7:28:38 PMAdd me PSN: Skillz_301 ..I play with anyone trying to play. Level 30 Hunter
-
Add me BenWarTooth LL me and a couple friends are 30 but you really only need 3-4 30's to have a smooth raid. We take 29's though
-
You have 2 clears and crappy guns man. And thats before your damage reduction as a 29. I have carried many people through the raid... But even I would tell you to level up those guns first.
-
When I beat the raid for the first time I was a 28. The hard raid. At 28. Not one 30 in the game. Had to start somewhere.
-
If you have not hit level 30 yet stop playing this game bro.... Wow lol
-
In all fairness, a raid with full 30's goes SO much smoother.
-
Because a team of 6 30s can beat the Hard VoG in just over 30min. The only time I did all 30s it was by far the fastest run.
-
When you hit 30 you'll understand.
-
29s don't belong in the level 30 raid period. Just playing. Lots of level 30s believe themselves the best when really most of them got where they are on pure luck/being carried. I run with level 29's on hard mode and also a few level 23-24's if I'm running normal. You just got to find the right group.
-
You only have 2 activities cleared, your not experienced enough for hard raid simple just do normal raid until your never dieing and then try again.
-
The only time i would ever want 30s only is the last time i 4 manned Atheon as a 29 (the other 3 were 30s obviously) it wasn't easy but any other 29s would've failed lucky for me that was when I got a raid helm and i need to lvl it tho which today means i will have a lvl 30 warlock

Follow these steps. 1. Tuesday after reset, work hard to get the oracles checkpoint from someone. People regularly give it out in the recruitment forum. 2. Create your own fire team recruitment post on the forums, limit it to 1 other 29 and 4 30's.( the raid is just easier if a 30 has the relic). 3. Profit. Honestly, most 30's don't mind taking a couple 29's, but the raid is harder with more than a couple. This way, you are control over who goes.
-
You don't need the helmet from the raid to get to 30. You need 3 pieces of raid gear (all of which can be obtained on normal mode(or two from iron banner)) and one exotic head piece.

Xbox 360? Send me a message gt is same as above.
-
There's a simple solution to that, become level 30.
