Gorgons are obvious so long as you've done that part enough times. Hard mode makes their tracking slightly more sensitive, makes them more persistent towards something they heard, longer duration stationaries after being alerted - they look towards the direction of what alerted them for a longer duration before resuming their patrol path -, and the addition of 2(?) permanently static Gorgons (sorry, I don't take a left route much) so as to prevent folks from taking the most direct route possible in normal where you can simply sprint single-file to the exit cave. Jump puzzle: Simple basic method: ANY class can make it to the lower ledge from the 3rd platform that spawns with practice and good timing. Warlocks use focused burst or balanced glide (either work, but balanced is exclusive to sunsinger). Titans use either lift, just not catapult. Hunters use double-jump with bonus height (potentially even triple jump as GS, but personally never bothered trying it since I manage with double-jump as either subclass). Hunters have the most difficulty when using the 3rd platform and they must have a high agility, be sprinting prior to jumping off, jump in the direction of the ledge very near to them (there's a corner I like to use), and save the double-jump for very late so as not to smack off the wall and fall or die from the fall out-right. Second method: Involves using the cave to the left (if you're facing the appearing platforms) of the spawn location and although I only use this method with my hunter as a Bladedancer with its super ready, I've heard rumors that any class can take it since going into the cave activates the 2nd set of appearing platforms, but I'm not sure I'd like to try timing a landing on an appearing platform, lol. Anyways, as a Blade dancer with Arc Blade ready, look down out of the cave, you'll recognize the platform area that leads straight into the throneroom. That's your target and yes it's a huge drop. Activate arc-blade, sprint and jump (do NOT double-jump) out of the cave in the direction of the throne room hallway landing and spam your arc-blade swipes until you reach the far wall, then drop straight down. If your arc-blade can last until the landing (seen some pull this off with the exotic that reduces arc-blade energy consumption), you don't need to use the double-jump upon smacking the ground (seems like arc-blade prevents all fall damage), but if you're like me and lack that exotic, use that double-jump to stop your momentum before landing (not sure if it's a bug or what, but occasionally I've rushed this path and double-jumped at the beginning, resulting in a drop from one of the highest heights possible in the game, yet still survive. Even if you don't survive the drop, your ghost is there for a teammate to revive you (even on hard, since this part of the raid is similar to constructing the conflux to enter VoG).

  • I would put the static gorgon at around 5. Thanks for putting the effort in to write this. After reaching the word limit, this section was the first to go. For jumping puzzle I would suggest triple jump on hunter. All classes can jump on first platform, turn right, jump on second platform, turn right again, jump on third platform, turn left (towards wall) then jump all the way down to the ledge on the wall, saving some boost or the 2 hunter jumps until the near the bottom. Also titan can use the cave + Death from Above perk and super when your nearly there, it works every time once you learn the technique, and looks cool as hell.

  • I can't tell you how many times I've heard a team-mate say "hey guys! look at me!" and undershoot it. Never seen a teammate actually succeed at sticking the landing (except occasionally on one of the platforms far below, lol), so I certainly wasn't about to try it. I've never made the 3rd "static" platform jump with my hunter, probably because I was always in BD spec so I could super from the cave, so I didn't have triple-jump when I went to try while someone was afk back in Gorgon causing the appearing platforms not to start. And I was actually referring to the 3rd "appearing" platform since I didn't want to confuse people about dropping to the platforms you're talking about. From the 3rd appearing platform, it really only becomes a matter of fall-control/momentum breaking with any class. Seriously, very first time I did VoG for each class, they said I'd be stuck at jump puzzle for a while, but made it first try from there, so I just assumed that'd be about the easiest possible spot for people of all manner of experience in the raid to use as a reference.

  • I am talking about the 3rd appearing platform as well. I never bothered with the ledges down the side, once you have done this room a couple if times it is pretty easy, we always seem to have one person falling off though, I fear the day I try a run without dying and someone misses a jump on this section.

  • Tried to do flawless raider last week, as well. Made it to Atheon initially, then someone fell to death jumping to center platform after the first timephase. Started over, and sure enough, that same someone smacked off the wall in the jump puzzle... grr.
