Ill vouch for this as well. It started appearing when i was investigating what appeared to have been a simple lighting glitch (on 360) and found that cave. Knew something should be there since the game makes it possible to get to atheons door from that cave. Dont know what requirements there are to spawn it though

I too vouch for the second jump puzzle existing and also haven't seen the portal open.
