I was playing the Vault of Glass with some people, and I realized they were Iron Banner 30s. I didn't mention it, but then we got to the gatekeepers. 3 People died every time on the first portal outside. After a few times, I asked them how that was possible, and one instantly started hating on me. He called me a squeaker because I am 13 and haven't hit puberty. We were doing perfect in the raid and we were all laughing at some point. I told him to shut up and he told me,"Sorry, I can't play with someone as young and bad as you." And he booted me. I mean WTF?? We went through it as a team and he ended it there. Why is the community so rude?
Edit 1: We were playing NORMAL with five 30s and one 29, the 29 with me and another 30 in the portal.
Edit 2: Okay, I deleted "fake" because that isn't true, you are correct. They just got 30 a different way than me and have less experience with the raid.
Edit 3: These responses are overwhelming! Was gonna reply and give my thoughts to all of them, but there is no way I can now!

Maybe he isn't allowed to play with children? That shit gets you put on a list.
-
Not that I want to be a spoiler here but the age on the game is 16 for a reason. So really you shouldn't even be allowed to play it. I think that is a bit irresponsible of your gaudians lol
-
I was booted by lvl 29 kid from a raid party, because he only wanted lvl 30s. Lol, if i'm being honest. I don't really like playing with kids(Mostly because they overreact like the raid "leader") If i do. I prefer them being quiet and listen to us when we tell him to do something.
-
I once did the raid with a 12 year old and he was soo annoying, he thought he was the best around and started bossing us all around. Needless to say I left after we wiped three times under his "command" during the confluxes. Stuck up young people are the worst, and I hope you're not one of them.
-
The asshole comes in a variety of forms.
-
From my experiences young kids: 1. Don't listen 2. Talk too much 3. Do not focus on what they need to be really doing to make the raid quick/objective easy 4. Become very defensive when called out for constructive criticism
-
I stopped reading when you wrote 'I realised they were iron banner 30s' Shows your mentality.
-
Well, I don't have a problem with players 13 or younger, because not all of them are, well... Underwhelming, but through the ratio of mature and immature age groups, they only tend to be the ones who are immature, but I put this aside because you never know if they've matured and know how to act well.
-
I wouldn't want to raid with a 13 y/o either
-
It's just the "10 year plan" in action. In 10 years, he will forgive you and you'll be old enough to raid with him.
-
Once I had an annoying kid in my raid team. After the oracles I kicked him. He helped us with the work but got no rewards.
-
My problem with children is when they don't listen when I answer their questions and make me repeat myself. If you're skilled, I don't care about your voice. Just listen to me, especially if you don't have raid experience, and I'm cool with anyone in the game.
-
Thats what ya get for playing with fake 30's
-
Don't worry, me and my friend are 12 and we were trying to get people to play the VoG. Everyone kept saying we were kids xD
-
would've done the same thing
-
Maybe you would be better off with someone more mature, I mean age is just a number right?
-
Lol kind of bad that lvl 30's couldnt do the normal on their first try. Its really easy lol me and my friends do it on the first try every time now
-
My son is 11 and completed the raid. He has done everything in the game at this point... I found him a group of great guys that a have been paying work to assist him in getting it done and it went great.... Sorry you ran into rude "guardians".
-
I played the gatekeeper checkpoint with a few "squeakers" the other night and I didn't care at all. The one that annoyed me was repeatedly calling everybody else "f'ing sh*t" when we wiped and was extremely bossy. Just because you're the fire team leader doesn't mean you should be leading the team. He also kept kicking this one other kid for no reason. So in the future I'll turn to my clan mates when I want to run the raid. If I get invited by ransoms who are decent I'll gladly run it with them, but I'd be hard pressed to keep playing with a kid like that.
-
Squeaker= insta kick
-
A team of five 30s couldn't beat the Normal Raid? Damn, they suck.
-
I would have kicked any iron banner 30 who showed they cant do it. If there the one who keeps dying the. Kick. And i kick all squeakers because they annoy me
-
Thats life, u will unterstand in 10 years
-
I get your pain. I am also 13, played the raid, an all the while my fireteam was calling me an inexperienced noob. It was my first time and they were freaking out because I moved one step and a Gorgon saw me. People like that don't deserve to be playing Destiny. It has too much mature content for them.
-
I sort of feel like a hypocrite at times because yeah the squeakers get annoying and I'm not very fond of playing with really young kids but my little brother plays this game too and he's just hit level 26 and wants to do the raid and I want him to but I'm afraid he'll get laughed at so I think I'm going to just do the raid for him each week..
-
You make yourself sound innocent, but the "iron banner 30" undertone you used makes me think otherwise. "I asked them how that was possible" Was probably some annoying squeaker voice sayin... commeonnnn guyyyyss, this issss easy, how is thisss possible? You were probably bothering the hell out of them, acting like you're better because you're a "real" 30, and they got sick of you. You got booted, deal with it. Respect your elders.
