Dude. Make some alts. Seriously. You need vault space? How does twenty more spots each for primaries, specials, heavies, ships, sparrows, shaders and the various goods and sundries you pick up sound? This was literally the primary reason I created my second two characters. Yes, I did want to see the warlock and Hunter subclasses, and yes, I did already have some exotic and legendary gear for them, but it was almost entirely predicated on needing more room for items. You don't even have to make a warlock and Hunter, though I'd recommend it. You don't even have to level your alts up, though getting them to 20 at least will unlock their equip slots for endgame gear. They can just be extra vault space until the vault itself is expanded. That said, I do want more vault space (like maybe a 50-slot vault at the least), as I'm always breaking down weapons to make room or saving up fusion rifles for the Pocket Infinity bounty, but having alts is important for amassing a large collection of weapons. Just my two strange coins.

  • That's not helpful for the serious gamer. I have all 3 characters level 30. I use them all and need more space for all of them. If making alts is a way to get more room allow us to make More than 3 characters- but that would get abused so fast. Only solution= make more vault space. Simple. Not hard. Do it. Do it 2 months ago.

As do I, man. Try checking my stats before throwing around the phrase "serious gamer." Ha. I was offering advice to one guy who has one character. And what are you doing with your vault space? Mine's primarily for fusion rifles when my next pocket infinity bounty comes up. I keep most of my exotics (20+), raid weapons, and legendaries on my characters. Switching stuff to the vault and then to an alt is way too tedious for me, so I just make sure each of my characters is ready for anything. You likely have a ton of garbage legendary weapons you'll never actually use just sitting in there. If inefficiency is part of being a "serious" gamer, I want no part of that noise. I see game systems and figure out how to use them in a way that benefits me and speeds my progress, as a "serious" gamer does. I was offering advice to OP to help him out, since having one main character will negate the need for an immediate vault expansion, for him at least. And, if you had read my whole post, you'd see that I also want more vault space. Don't make yourself look foolish by attacking people who are trying to be helpful to others and agree with you. If you're indicative of a "serious" gamer, then I'm happy not to consider myself one.

  • If you think I'm attacking you you've got issues. I never once said you were or were not a serious gamer. And yes I swap some weapons back and forth between characters because some situations call for specific weapons. Eg nightfall with arc damage- of course I want my 300dmg fate bringer on all my characters 1 shotting adds in the leg. I have different builds and setups depending on what I'm doing. Putting on 1 exotic can make me put on an entire different set of legendary Armor pieces to change something as simple at strength stats.

  • You're right, you weren't attacking me, although I think our understanding of what that word means in reference to a civil discussion or disagreement are different. I should have said, "You shouldn't be so dismissive of..." Anyway, the only weapon I've ever swapped over was the Mythoclast, and that was only to level it up quickly. Each of my characters is equipped for any nightfall, and if they happen not to be, my fireteam and I improvise.
