Why Iron Banner "30"s are fakes
All they did is work their ass off grinding though the challenges of the Iron Banner instead of getting raid gear from rng

well I have both I was level 30 with raid gear (missing the helm unfortunately) and I consider myself pretty lucky that I have three pieces when my other friends are still missing pieces one in particular has done it on three characters more times then I can count and is still missing boots every week is the same story gets nothing but chest and arms (yes its HM) so I don't think your statement is at all accurate there are loads of people who like my friend are consistently missing out and other get two or three in only a handful of attempts if anything is to blame is the system I think the VOG should be like the iron banner where you are required to do a set tasks a number of times to buy the pieces you need excluding the helm that should be a reward for finishing HM a number of times something to that effect I think that would be a fair system where everyone wins yes those who are better will get there faster then those who aren't but thats the point it avoids situations where people with no experience just walk it and think they have what it takes to beat it just because they are level 30

We experienced hell in IB and of course raid will just be a little bit less frustrating than IB. rank 5 and broke....couldnt afford to buy the fusion rifle and the scout...

1 ReplyCause people are -blam!-ing stupid thats why... Who cares how you got the gear... Raiders raid cause that's what they enjoy, PVPers PVP because that's what they enjoy, so why should PVPers who don't like raiding be left out when it comes to lvl 30 gear? It's no different earning you gear through raid or buying it through IB at the end of the day we all get the same gear. Raiders get over yourselves and PVPers stop fuelling the hatred fire.

Could you have gone idle, and gained reputation? If you died in an IB control match, could you respawn? Raid gear has advantage skills. You can't go idle during the raid, or you don't get passed checkpoints. You can't respawn in hm, it takes proper execution/teamwork from all six members. IB 30s aren't "fake", they just don't have the better, harder to get gear.

5 Repliesin a WEEK.... I got my 3 characters to IB rank 5... for it i had to farm over 600 helium fragments.... 100,000 glimmer.... on top of that had to aquire.... 175 ascendant materials.... its a grind.... trust me.... and the ascendant materials alone... to get the final upgrades for the gear and weapons require consistant VoG runs... just becuase you didnt get carried through an atheon push dont mean your any less deserving of the gear. especially being you need to be in a good group to consistantly win in the IB... then not only be in a good group but face off agsint other human opponents.. and repeatedly conquer them... AT a level defficit. PS.. ive got full raid gear... do hard raids on a regular basis.... i can safely say... at this point. .the IB was FAR more of an earned grind then VoG runs. gear looks far better too.

21 Repliesyou dont grind PVP. atleast thats what the PVPers tell me. hell most of the people I know got the gear for nothing because rank from the last iron banner carried over from the last one, so they literally got handed 30 light gear for some glimmer. they are fakes not because they did not earn it(some did, just like some hit the lottery and did not earn they raid gear) but now they are entering the raid as lvl 29 or 30 trying to do the raid hard mode with little to no experience with the raid. this is where the problem lies with most raiders. IB gear is the only indicator we have that someone trying to raid might not have the raid experience that people of their level should.

i know its a satire but just saying grinding IB for a weak is harder than pushing atheon (i have a lvl 30 warlock with all raid gear and i need a chest for the titan to hit 30 in less than 40 hours of playtime because of the IB)

3 RepliesDid I miss something or was there no level 30 head / chest armor? From what I could tell, you would have to have at least some raid xp to get to 30. ...but I think I just somehow missed it based on all the rage.

5 RepliesEdited by los2525: 11/25/2014 8:41:14 PMI had a guy just send me a message in the Tower, saying that I "was not a true 30" because I was wearing my fully leveled IB gear. I guess he didn't notice my Hard raid helmet. Long story short, I asked him if he wanted me to put on my fully leveled raid gear, all purple and all 30. I also equipped my raid ship, shader and sparrow. I did and told him to inspect me now and to not make himself look stupid assuming next time. Oh and btw..he was only a level 28 with a single raid piece. How do I know he didn't have more? I don't tbh but with the exception of his raid boots (which were still in the process of being leveled up), he had all either Dead Orbit or Vanguard gear. He also had 2 other characters but both were level 10 or below. Smh.

5 RepliesFor sure, however, just after the reset last night we had a 30 who appeared to have never run the raid on hard and maybe only a handful of times on normal. Didn't know about safe areas during legions, died on every CP, opening the wrong portal when portal teams were calling it out and he was the last one left and not to mention killing himself with a launcher in the shield, self-res and immediately killed himself again... With a rocket. 30 is 30 agreed, but when 29's are outplaying and outclassing you... Speechless.
