Hello,
There was no patch that contained guns being nerfed. If you want to you can check the weekly update page for the patch notes below:

No problem. Also if you are playing strikes or anything like that make sure to check if there are any skulls that increase a certain element such as arc burn will increase damage for guns that have arc damage.
