All this post teaches me is that you've never played anything outside a hunter. I can only assume the other two classes on your character have either never been in PvP or were played by a roommate.

My personal opinion of skill level coming from a titan defender: Hardest: Gunslinger and Sunslinger Middle: Defender and Striker Easiest: Bladedancer and Voidwalker I also put the ones that I feel deserve that rating more first. Though for me gunslinger and Sunslinger are pretty much tied.

    • I love all these justification threads, they scream insecure. It's always been about the player rather than the weapon or class, only scrubs believe otherwise and cry nerf or buff. Pathetic.

      • If you think blade dancer needs a buff than that just proves you are probably the worst player in pvp.

      • Seing how you don't even know what most of the Titan and warlock moves are called, I'd say that you only play Hunter. You have a very biased opinion if you havn't fully played all the classes. I've already maxed out all 6 subclasses and here is my opinion: None of the classes take skill, the weapons require skill. The supers all are just a way to get a few free kills, exept for defender. The FoH and NB do actually take some knowlage to use, unless you're one of those idiots that waste it on one person. The Hunters supers and Sunsingers allow you to take out one enemy in one erea of the map and another in another part, and not just in one single area. But the fact that they're mobile also means they're vounerable, hence why you dont see many Strikers and Voidwalkers being killed during their supers. The one thing that sets hunters apart is that they can escape from combat faster with their jumps. Warlocks and Titans have to glide/jet-pack away, making them easy targets. Hunters get a quick lift into the air, which makes them harder to hit. Besides hunters only take skill in PvE, I use mine to cheese PvP, that's why he has a higher KD than my Warlock and Titan.

There are only two classes: 1. The Skilled Class: these are players that succeed regardless of the weapon, character type, or tactical situation they are dropped into 2. The Whining Class: this is the class that blames weapons, character type, environment, Bungie, Microsoft, Sony, Activision, the President, Congress, and Billy the Paper boy for their lack of performance in PvE and PvP. Seriously. If any company knows and understands the dynamics of PvP engagement and game balance, it's Bungie. As a former developer, one of the things that has ALWAYS impressed me is that Bungie tracks the parameters of every kill, and has an enormous database they can fall back on to analyze the need for Nerfs and Buffs. If you actually think a posting on the forums is all it takes to make them cripple or empower gear in Destiny, you are horribly mistaken. Every decision is backed by data. I guarantee you that Suros Regime was nerfed due to outlier behavior in the crucible, backed by data. And that boosting damage per shot while decreasing fire rate was done to allow skilled players to evade, and a more skilled players to keep the kill by tracking the target the way top players do, all with maintaining the highly coveted damage over time at a high level. Just saying, this is Bungie guys. The only person that knows more about this is John Carmack, and (sadly) he's no longer engineering games. (EDIT: added a missing word in the last paragraph).

          • Hold on, aren't we forgetting something? Supers are supposed to be guaranteed kills. Otherwise, which idiot would use them? How does pressing two buttons simultaneously and aiming 99% of your screen at the ground near an enemy require skill? How does aiming a reticule ANYWHERE ON AN ENEMY'S BODY require rocket science? How does LOOKING AT AN ENEMY and SPAMMING ONE BUTTON require skill? Has the human race digressed? Is everything 'too hard' or 'sooo op' or someone's a 'noob' or a 'basher', because reading these forums gives that impression. There is NO WAY that anybody can say that ANY CLASS' SUPER REQUIRES SKILL. If you can't aim, then you shouldn't be playing a shooter. End of story.

I pvp with all 3 classes and all 6 subclasses. Voldwalker and Striker's supercharges are the easiest, most forgiving most all around useful supercharges in the crucible. They are the closet thing to free kills as it gets. They are the number one thing for "Oh Crap" Moments. These supers are so easy to use that if you activate them and don't get at least 1 kill each and every time then something is very very wrong with what your doing. Hunter doesn't have a free kill super with either of there subclasses. At least not one that kills instantly upon pushing the shoulder buttons. While Voidwalker and Striker can use there super in direct combat, Hunters are forced to disengage from combat and stay out of sight to activate their supers. If a hunter attempts to activate there super in the middle of direct combat they will be mowed down while still stuck in the animation of activating their super. And they do not get there super energy refunded like the striker and voidwalker do if they don't have time to finish the animation. This is the biggest thing hunters hate about the other 2 classes in the crucible. Although both of there supers are good for the crucible, neither of them are as easy to use or guarantee free kills like Nova Bomb and Fist Of Havoc. It should also be noted that what makes matters even worse (in the opinion of hunters) is that both Nova Bomb and Fist Of Havoc (if available) will always counter/kill a hunter in either of his supers with very little he can do to survive because a Striker will survive a direct shot with the Golden Gun shot if he is using the perk that lessens his damage while using Fist Of Havoc (i can BITTERLY confirm this). While with the Voidwalker, because the Gunslinger has to take the time to aim at the Voidwalker and the Voidwalker doesn't have to bother with aiming (because as it turns out "being close" counts in more horseshoes and hand grenades) FAR more often then not the Voidwalker will kill the Gunslinger with the Golden Gun before the the Gunslinger can connect a shot with him. And the Bladedancer in Arc Blade is just plain screwed when faced with a Striker or Voidwalker that has a Super ready.

              • Funny how Arc Blade pulls me towards enemies if I push the stick even close to their direction, and how the aim assist is so strong in this game that even after turning it off, I can still see it trying to kick in for GG. You act like it's impossible to miss with FoH and NB, which it entirely is. You also act like Titans and Warlocks are impervious with their supers active, which isn't true in the slightest. I main a Hunter myself, level 30 with both subclasses maxed, and 5 of the 6 current pieces of exotic armor fully upgraded (Before the most recent post from Bungie saying exotics will need to be reset to reach the new cap), so I can swap between the two as much as I want. All classes have aspects of cheapness and aspects of "skill" to them.

                • So what your saying is that you get rocked in PvP and are constantly being revived in PvE, so.....its the character not you?.... I'm going to assume that you are just bad, and you wanted a hunter from the start because you thought you would have damage perks for weapons that the other characters wouldn't, say shielding for titans and better mana refresh for warlocks..but that's not cool, because all you wanted to do is sit back in a corner with a sniper and be bad

                        • I think it's funny that you say Hunters have to use their super "at the exact right moment" when both have some fair number of seconds to use. Gunslinger and Bladedancer both can get kills on enemies that are quite and distance apart; Nova Bomb and Fist of Havoc can only get multiple kills of the targets are right next to each other when the super is used. I can't activate Void Bomb and run around for ten seconds launching it several places around the map like a Gunslinger...

                              • A kind of agree... My warlock and Titan are much easier to run with in pvp and pve, but I enjoy the hunter mechanics and feel so I play it more. Plus the hunters look badass in my opinion. But everyone is entitled to their own judgement.

                              • I can agree with this, I main a titan and lock but started working on my hunter and I also think there's more planning involved which makes it a bit harder. That said, I enjoy my titan and lock way more...however there still needs to be planning for when to use a nova or fist, just not as much precision planning a hunter needs for their specials.

                              • I find hunters are decently balanced, although the could use some tweeks. Golden gun needs a longer duration. Still only 3-4 shots why the short timer? Golden Gun should also be able to get crits. Bladedancer melee should do more damage in pve. In pvp movement speed could be slightly buffed.
